Williams, 1993Need help figuring the issue with the mini pf on my IJ..
I have bad mini pf switch 94 switch 95 error.
I’m not very good at troubleshoothing so I bought and installed the opto and driver board from Homepin but the mini pf still dont work. Tested the motor with a 9V and the motor works fine.
I am cluelless about what to test next.
I removed the motor and plugged it on a 9V battery and the motor is good.
The gearbox are good too.
As per Lloyd recommendation, I tested power on the mini driver board and I get a nice 12V on the gray+black wire.
I dont seems to get power at J2 (red+white) on the mini driver board or the motor though.
I replaced the mini-driver and opto board with a brand new Homepin and still no power at the motor.
What should I check next?
Something that wasn’t obvious to me the first time is that annoyingly the optos for the mini playfield don’t show up in switch edges test. You have to be in the mini playfield test in order to test if those optos are working.
My other bit of advice would be if you replaced the motor driver board and the opto board, try swapping the opto board back to the original.
I purchased two of the homepin opto boards from two different places and neither one of them worked. Even now with the playfield working I still can’t swap the old one for the homepin boards . They don’t work at all. Maybe it was a bad batch?
Did you replace the mini playfield opto board? Great lakes modular sells great boards. Does the POA tilt left and right when you power on the machine? Check for dirty optos or loose connections

GLM did not sell anything. They also did not answer E-Mail. I am also interested in a glm opto board

Yes, I replaced both the mini driver and mini opto board and nothing.
The mini pf doesnt tilt at all. Not at startup, not in test, no movement at all.
