Is there anybody else that did NOT order the 3D figures from batch 2 only? I believe Keys 88 is one of them correct? Thanks!

#1052 10 days ago

Can you guys handle another surprise???

#1053 10 days ago

Yes. That is correct.

Rick, this is by far the best one yet! LMFAO!!!!!!!!

Now featuring the dirt/grime look for the fighter plane (or biplane for that matter) In my opinion this makes the plane look a bit more realistic and I truly like it a lot. It’s not for everybody, I know. Notice How I added fhe grime on top of the triangle decal.

Also working on a (possible) didferent fighter plane for future orders. Not too sure about this, since this is a much more expensive plane and takes twice the effort to build with a spinning prop.

This is the Arado AR 96A. This one looks pretty close to the movie fighter. I’m still working on it. Still needs the window, a few more details and clear. I added water slide decals (yes the tiny yellow triangle is a decal) and added the camouflage. More pics to come.....

The Arado is just a fun project for now. Very difficult to say if it will end up being an available option. The dirt/grime look could be an option for current orders tho

#1058 10 days ago

I just needed something to take my mind off the horrible BSD experience I had earlier today

#1061 10 days ago

There will be other BSD’s. You’ll find a nicer one cheaper I’m sure of it.

What technique are you using for this? I did some dry brushing of the Tamiya weathering master pigments (amazon.com link »). Think of it as makeup for plastic models.

You just slowly build up detail by putting he smallest amount of color to the model. Not worth doing commercially as it takes aaaaages but does add extra depth to models. At the distance we view these models from its pretty surperflous anyway.

Pretty much just mixing dark colors, depending on the look I want and airbrushing at different speeds and distance. I do believe the grime would look killer on an extended yellow nose.

KornFreak28...

Thanks for the thread on your bad experience on BSD. Really shitty indeed. I, like many others, feel you dodged a bullet. Good things come to those who wait.

Completely off, but I have to share it with George:

Fun projects done! Yes, the prop spins on the Arado 96

Also making good progress on the next 3 orders.

Nothing to apologize about man, the plane is perfect!! Shit happens. Plane sits well, but man, since I waxed and cleaned the pf, those Airballs are viscous.

Davi set me up though, I’ll see the protectors soon

Only cuz you empower my sense of childish wonder. Or is it childish ignorance? I dunno.

Man, these planes bring the game’s visuals and overall fun factor to a new level. Not to toot your horn but I can’t thank you enough for your efforts!!

I want to own extras now cuz if these ever get damaged I’ll cry for a month and a day.

I still have one regular biplane 3D figure package left. If anybody wants it, please pay Paul and let me know.

#1078 9 days ago

I'm thinking I may be selling the Arado 96 fighter plane in case anybody is interested. No sense in keeping it for myself. Great opportunity for any batch 3 hopefuls out there. It all began as a fun side project but it actually turned out pretty good. This has the camouflage and the grime look on the front. I added water-slide decals and applied a matte finish for a more aggressive look. Thinking about possibly adding the pilot since the cockpit and window are so large. I still got to perfect some minor details but the plane is pretty much done. It will be a bit more expensive tho. The plane alone cost $35.00 plus shipping.

Got my planes and they are awesome! Doing my install now... which flasher is the "ruins flasher"? There are a few flashers by the ruins. Thanks

Good to hear that!!! Can you please hang on? I’m not at the house at the moment. I’ll show you exactly where and how to insert the wires in the connector. Get some wire ties (small version if possible) ready so you can secure the wires to the connector. I’ll be back in no time

#1086 9 days ago

Consider running your biplane wires underneath the jackpot plastic like Guzz showed. I’ll show you what I did in that area too....Have a beer

#1087 9 days ago

Don’t forget: The plane led connector and plane motor wires go to different connectors

#1088 9 days ago

I used the yellow flasher located under the ruins at the idol on the rh side. Flasher for fighter plugs into Molex 3 pin originally powering old fighter ( duh) and the propeller motors on both planes are made of single heavy copper wire which just backprobe into flasher connector. Easy install.

Horrible pic, but you can see the two red wires and black wire -from fighter and white wire from biplane pushed into yellow flasher connector.

#1091 9 days ago

Not at the house yet but found this pic in my phone. Insert red to red and white t white. If you only have black and white wires then Black to red and white to white.

Insert the biplane in one side of fhe connector and fhe fighter on the other side.

Secure each side with 3 wire ties. Secure the 2 red wires to each other, then secure both white wires to each other then secure all 4 wires together (see blurry pic) I will take better pics when I get home.

Do the same for the other side. Make dang sure you make good solid contact!

Rick please secure them wires with wire ties. You don’t want them sliding out and causing a short or worse. I used the smaller version wires ties and they worked perfectly.

Will do. Right after I set up my indoor kiddie pool under the pin, fill it with water and make sure I’m fiddling with a powered on IJ. I live on the edge! The man always keeping me down...

No but I will secure those George; thanks.

Is the yellow dome flasher shown in the pic above the "ruins" flasher? Or is it one near the idol under the ruins? Thanks

Yes, the big dome one. That’s the guy.

#1098 8 days ago

Ok... I hooked up the fighter and determined that the flasher bulb under the yellow dome wasn't working! That was causing part of my confusion as the fighter prop was working with the flasher near the idol but not with the yellow dome flasher. Now that the flasher bulb has been replaced under the dome, I realized that these two flashers connected. All is good. Next is the biplane.

I do have an unrelated question... when running the flasher tests, I didnt see anything happen when I tried to test the "dogfight" flasher (i hope I'm remembering the right name). Does anyone know where this flasher is located? Maybe I have another blown flasher bulb. Thanks all.
