Here to help whenever you guys are ready
When inserting the wires please hold both red (or black) together like you see in the pic and insert inside the connector. You MUST get a very tight fit or else the planes will not perform as they should or not perform at all.
Then do the same for the white wires. Hold together and insert into the other wire. It could be black or blue depending on the connector. Then use blue tape to temporarily secure the wires so you can test the planes.
Remember, if you don’t get a super tight fit, by the time you lower your playfield, the wires could get loose and your planes won’t perform. Insert all 4 wires on the same side of the connector, not 2 on one side and 2 on the other. Both wires together will give you the tightest fit possible.
The ruins flasher seems to be the one that gives the most action to the planes. It spins the planes when you plunge the ball, when you hit the mini drop target, when you lock a ball, when you get MB and when game ends after superball.
I have the videos ready, I’ll post them when I find out how it’s done

Thanks for your feedback! The biplane will ALWAYS spin a lot more than the fighter because the longer propeller blades carry a lot of momentum and keep spinning the motor even after the flasher goes off. The fighter blades are shorter and do not carry as much (if any) momentum. The whole propeller itself is also much heavier that the biplane's. The nose cone makes it bit heavier that the biplane prop assembly which has a much smaller nose cone.
Attention everyone,
I am pleased to announce that I just completed my install of the planes. They work great! George did a fabulous job and I couldn’t be happier. I will be posting my install method shortly for those interested as I did a few things differently for my game that seemed to work. This is a great mod and the install wasn’t bad. The final product is stunning it’s exactly what this game needs. I sent a few videos to George and he may post them here so people can see what the planes look like in my game. Great job George!
Quoted from Guzz4851:And I second the ruins flasher placement...planes spin a lot and look great!
Thanks for the feedback Frank!!! I would post them but I just can’t figure out how! Someone tell me!
Install -
Fighter plane. I was able to fish the connector and motor wires through the access hole near the ramp.(the same hole the original came out of). Took the slack out of the wires and zip tied them all together to give them a clean look.
I did my Bi plane a bit differently. I ran the wires directly behind the plane and between the two posts in the back next to the pop bumper. From there, I used the flasher hole to run the wires underneath. I chose this because I didn’t want to try and run the wires near the pops and all the way over to the other side. In order to use the flasher hole in the back of the hurryup plastic, I took a small flat head screwdriver and pushed the socket to the side allowing just enough space for each wire to sneak through. I had help from a friend and it was much easier having the extra set of hands for this part. He fed wire down while I pushed on socket, then from underneath I grabbed each wire and pulled it down and through. In order to access the flasher hole I simply unscrewed the nut that holds the back bracket for the plane and the ramp screw and was able to gently lift the plastic to fish the wire. I didn not have to completely disassemble everything.
Once that was complete it was a matter of pulling the slack through and connecting everything. I stripped the wire back and shoved each one into the connector by itself to achieve a snug fit. Then used a zip tie to hold wires in place (see pic) and finished it off with some electrical tape as a safety net. Then after testing and assuring it worked, I zip tied and cleaned up the wires underneath.
The issue I had was the biplane prop hitting the glass. I asked for a trim and it still wasn’t enough because my machine has plastic protectors. So I bend the front bracket into a “s” like shape to essentially lower the front enough to clear the glass. Hard part was getting it centers so the prop didn’t hit the ramp and there was ball clearance on the wireform. It was a little trial and error and after about 5 or so times finally got it right. Again I had a helper and it was much easier to hold things and bend the bracket. See the one pic with the planes ... you can see my bracket bent, but it gives you an idea of what they look like.
Again, this was my install. Not saying it’s right or the best but it’s an option in case others want to do it this way. Pics are for reference and to see what it looks like.
Quoted from KornFreak28:Looks like I may have to trim the prop even more for batch 2.....
Awww. Are guys reporting it to close to glass and wire forms?
This is exactly how I had installed mine. I also have plastic protectors, but my prop has enough clearance. The tip of my biplane wing does touch the glass when I put the glass back in.
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:Awww. Are guys reporting it to close to glass and wire forms?
It’ll be up to you guys if you me to trim the prop even more or not. I won’t be taking individual requests for this, sorry. That would drive me crazy! I can keep trimming them just like I did for batch 1 or trim a bit more but all props must be the same size.
One batch 1 customer only had to slightly bend his bracket while another reported he had 1/4” of clearance! I’m assuming the plastic protectors will be playing a huge role here.
Please don’t PM me asking me to do something different than the rest of the group. I suggest you all discuss it and come to an agreement. You still got time

my biplane was exactly the same as well. tip of its wing touched glass but the glass still closed easily. the prop is clear
Quoted from BOBCADE:I finally got an IJ over the weekend and these planes are spectacular upgrades. I'll be lurking here hoping to get on the next batch and if anyone changes their mind on batch 2 plug me in.
Thanks!
I need for T.K. (customer's initials) from batch 2 to PM me, please. Thanks!

? Call for clarification on the question ?
Batch 2, I'm doing 2 customers at a time now, going down the line. When it's your turn, I will PM you so that you can (if needed) refresh my memory on what you want done. Sorry I've gotten so many emails, that it's kinda hard to keep up. Thanks!

Just organizing things on my end

Air-Brush is a nice tool. I used mine quite a bit. Last time: I didn't clean it well enough. It stopped working
Quoted from KornFreak28:Giving airbrushing a try

Nice try. Kerry is right, cleaning is the name of the game.
Hey yall! For batch 1 folks (and future lucky ones), i wanted to share my plane thoughts. I have hooked one plane up to the idol ruins as recommended by George. I thought it would be fun to have the propellers spin at different times so i tried out most of the other flashers. If you would like to try having them spin at different times, I recommend the left ramp "Lite Jackpot".
Thank you George for this awesome mod!!

Great to hear that Kyle! Now rock the hell
Out of them!
Quoted from underlord:Still haven’t installed mine yet George. Working all day every day for weeks with no end in sight.
I hear ya brother! Same here!
Quoted from hawkeyexx:I can't install my planes either I hope to have it running someday. Anyone know a good pinball mechanic

Are you doing a full restore job?

Did you run the biplane wires through the ramp hole or the flasher hole as suggested by Guzz?
Quoted from KornFreak28:Did you run the biplane wires through the ramp hole or the flasher hole as suggested by Guzz?
I ran the wires from the biplane around the back of the pop bumper and through the hole under the left ramp. All it took was some needle nose pliers and some patience, took 10 minutes. I did not need to remove the left ramp at all.
Quoted from KornFreak28:This is Ricochet’s awesome fighter plane. Just as requested
Thank you my friend! You contributed in a big way!

Looks awesome! Ready to shoot down a Biplane.
Well guys, the time has come for “The works” mod to be finally unveiled! This was an idea I discussed with fellow pinsider Jazzbouche when he ordered his Tiger moth. Jazzbouche is an incredible artist and he has been working really hard at this and has developed the ultimate “cherry on top” for the planes!
Indy and Dr. Henry Jones will now be available for you to add to your biplane and Tiger moth’s! Jazzbouche incorporated an incredible level of detail
Into these 3D printed models.
There will be 2 orders you can choose from:
1: Dr. Henry Jones and a wing strip (see picture) for your biplane. Easy add-on. Unfortunately Indy does not fit under the wing.
2: Indy and Dr. Jones and wing strip (see picture) for your Tiger moth! There is plenty of room under the Tiger moth’s wing to fit Indy!
Jazzbouche will post and provide more info once Indy is printed and painted. Many other details such as shipping, pricing and mod coordination are still being discussed and that information will be presented as soon as it becomes available.
Right now, we need to see how much interest there is for these awesome models. Get them while you can!
All orders will be taken by Jazzbouche

Quoted from KornFreak28:Pretty cool huh? [quoted image]
Oh my shit! That's F'n Amazing!
I want it all, Indy, Doc Jones!
Quoted from Psw757:I would like to add this! How much? How hard fornus batch 1 guys?
How hard to install Dr. Jones you say? Super easy, you can probably just glue it on
Quoted from CoPinfan:Well, of course I'm interested. Why stop now?
Gimmie the works!
In your case you can get Dr. Jones for your original biplane and Indy and Dr. Jones for your Tiger moth
Quoted from koops:I’m not clear on what the “wing strip” part is. The turret shround?
Whatever is above Indy's head above
