Tired of airballs that ruin your game? The only design flaw to one of the best games ever made was annoying airballs. They even design shoot again balls in the code because it was such an issue. NO MORE.

These are laser cut and predrilled to perfection. Simply bolt on and you will NEVER have an airball again. You can barely see them when installed. These will preserve your game as airballs can break plastics, divot playfields or even break glass.

$20 shipped both pieces.

I ordered this airball mod and have been using it for about a month now and it TOTALLY changed my game. After i rebuilt my flippers, i was getting serious airballs off the 3 bank and single drop targets. In the past month with this new mod i have played at least 100 games and have not had a single airball. It took me about 10 minutes to install and you really do not even notice they are in there.

Funny I was trying to figure out what the mod was because I was fixated on the drop targets that I have never seen before. It took a while to see the clear plastics above. Nicely done!

Where did the drop targets come from?

After 4 days at the Cleveland Pinball and Arcade show and 681 plays the front airball deflector on my IJ was destroyed. The rear held up perfectly without a single sign of stress cracking.

By the looks of it acrylic was used. PETG can't do that.

My guess is in a home use environment it would probably never be an issue but 681 plays in 3.5 days is a lot of nonstop abuse.

Who can cut one out of PETG?

Bos98 I had one crack just on the Install. After inspecting the plastic (as you may have noticed) it's pure lexan, which is a very brittle plastic.

I took mine to the local plastic shop (Tap plastics) and had them make me new ones out of a much more pliable plastic using the existing pieces as templates. Works like a charm! So really all I did was use a plastic that is more forgiving and bends a little rather than cracking

Also slightly modified the back protector with a stemmed so it can lay flat and not rest on the screws to the right and left

I am not unhappy with the product. 681 plays is a ton of play in 3 days. The protector did its job and took the beating instead of the invisiglass and other game components.

All the ones I'm sending now have cutouts for the screws so they can lay flat. The earlier version would break if you over tightened which is why I sent a note stating that. I've also learned you probably don't need to modify for the lost plastic. I'm at about break even on these and to be honest I regret doing them simply because it has been a lot of work to break even. They do truly change the game though. My ij would have been sold long ago if I didn't put these on.

Absolutely. No dig to him or the product. It did exactly what it was supposed to do, prevent airballs. It just took a beating over 3 days with virtually no down time.

A+ customer service and a replacement is on the way.

I've since improved the design so it's impossible to over tighten.

Yes, been doing new design for a while now. The smaller one has cutouts to accommodate screws on bracket.

i have been using these airball mods for about 4 months now. it has completely changed the game and have not had a single airball.
when they were first shipped to me, one was cracked and he quickly sent a new one at no cost and with better packing. great product and great service.
