Just ordered a new set of plastics from pinball center don't know if they are nos or repro but hey gotta be better than my broken set.
Man I got way too much loot into this game ..hopefully someone rewrites the code someday.. I seen in a YouTube video for proc, some text that says someone is working on code for it...it's an old video tho maybe it was abandoned.... After watching the movie (again) the other day I realize how bad they blew it writing code for id4. The call out for the alien head should have been the scientist saying "Come on let's get this exoskeleton open" instead of "shoot the alien head" also more video modes besides skill shot, could have opened up some fun, and alowing modes to stack would be cool too.... I wish I knew how to write code maybe it's time to learn
Will these look like originals?
Quoted from AlexSMendes:My brazilian-made repro set may arrive next week.... I'll post some pictures then.
Quoted from ledge:Cliffy was looking into this at some point.. not sure what happened.
the 3 holes were going to be done.
Need!
There are still some reproductions available
Quoted from Bugsy:Anyone have any ideas on keeping the alien head protected? I feel like this gets bashed a lot and it's only a matter of time before it breaks. Spray it with some coats of clear to harden it up a bit?
Quoted from Bugsy:Why clean and wax your playfield to protect the paint on it when you can just let it get dirty and start wearing through to the bare wood? Then after that happens you can just buy a CPR playfield for $700?
I'm looking at preventative maintenance. It's less expensive than buying a new repo.
I see your logic on playfield. 700$ playfield vs 100$ bash toy.. Big difference..haven't bought one for my id4 yet (mine is in really good shape)but probably will soon enough. I'm pretty good at spending too much $ on upgrades for things.... I used to drive a $1,000 car with 10,000$ In upgrades lol.sure was fun car tho
Quoted from AlexSMendes:Arrived yesterday! Can't wait to install'em!
Nice mee too!
Quoted from AlexSMendes:(off-topic): Alien invasion in São Paulo yesterday (real photos).
Wow super cool pics
I got mine from pinball center
Quoted from vwallat99:Where are you guys getting these?
Quoted from vwallat99:Well thats good to see.. Damn how much is that US? That's pricey.
Can't remember off hand but it was not cheap
I have a complete used set of plastics I will sell you only one is broken if I remember correctly.....still in my game tho. Need to swap out with my new set
Quoted from Rascal_H:Making progress... slow but steady.
If anyone had an alien head or plastic they want to sell me let me know. I might buy the new head but it so pricey!
Quoted from Rascal_H:Sure, let me know! Thanks!
shoot me a message with what you think is fair price.
Quoted from Pinballdad1961:Hi all, picked up an Independence Day machine last night -- loving it so far!
Nice!
Quoted from bigbadmiker:Thanks TheRingMaster! I sent ledge a PM inquiring about the cliffys. I hope they decide to make them for ID4.
