In the club as of last night.
Has anyone ever put a rubber kit together on Titanpinball.com?
I want to put in better rings while I do the leds. Any other necessary mods?

I just put this topper on mine

Man, sorry for not getting back sooner... Turns out I ain't got any extra alien heads anymore...

#108 3 months ago

Does anyone have an extra (or not), ID4 flyer and would be willing to part way with? I want one for myself!

Let me try another approach...
Would someone be kind enough to send me a hi-res scan of the flyer?

#111 3 months ago

Are any of the ramps available for this game?

Quoted from vwallat99:

Switch your pinballs. I use the Glo-balls on my ID4 , I like the look and feel to them and they really get flying around on this machine. They give your machine less stress because the impact isn't going to be as harsh as the steel barrings. I've been saving my plastics as well as my ID4 head since I've switched. Otherwise really not much else you can do because it's a bash toy and it's the integral part of game so it will continue to be bashed so nothing you can do but wait lol..
http://modmypin.com/

anyone see any negatives to adding these? I really liked them in my Avatar, but they also flew around in ways in which the machine wasn't designed for, like ramps without tops, they'd come out of the ramp and get stuck in places where regular pinballs wouldn't.

Quoted from wierdeer:

Love the color difference around the pops/under the ramps, do you remember what you did there as far as colors?

#115 3 months ago
Quoted from bigbadmiker:

Here's some pics of mine. I've had it a little over 2 years. The movie is one of my favorites. I like the theme and the sound is great, although I think mono - one speaker. It's a fun pin although gets boring after awhile because of its simplicity. That may be the reason (it's simple and easy) though why everyone that comes over and plays it, really likes it. My wife still loves it and will be a challenge to get her to let it go.

Love the red display, was that just a red sheet of acetate or....?

DUDE. YES. THANK YOU.

Any printing tips? Will I have to resize these or just right click and save?

#118 3 months ago

Great cards, thanks.

#119 3 months ago

my printer didn't seem to have the right settings.
I think I needed to scale them,
but I could only choose certain sizes.
The size of the opening in the machine is 5.5 x 3"

#120 3 months ago

Sorry the cards are not properly scaled. I noticed this when I tested them the other day. I still need to do a few tweaks to them. I will adjust accordingly based on pinbuoy's measurements and then repost here. Might be a few days though.

Here is a link to the resized cards. They should be 3" x 5.5" now.

I don't know if I did set my printer's page size correctly (guess I'm using A4), but this first test didn't come quite right... Any inputs, please?

PS: The cards are gorgeous anyway!

What are the dimensions of the cards you cut out, measuring from the white boarders?

And what are the dimensions of the colored parts?

Hey Bugsy. Did you happen to make instruction card with:

$0.50 - 1 Play, $1.00 - 3 Plays, 3 balls per game
Hold flipper for instant info
See display for Replay Value

Basically, the card for having game on route? I want to use your cards when I put this guy on location but I need one like this.

#128 3 months ago

I did not make a card with pricing on it. I was mostly making these for my own game at home and thought I'd share with others since I was happy with how they turned out.

I can whip up a pricing card for you tomorrow if I have time.

Anyone smarter than me know how to make this PDF into a jpg, or other image file?

I won't print cards at home anymore because the decimate the ink cartridges. I usually print them at Fred Meyer for $0.18 BUT they cant print PDFs and the PNG snaps I took of them are too small.

I printed the PDF off at UPS Store and with the best quality stuff they had it was really terrible.

Just spent this whole saturday with my tech guy working on my ID4.... We replaced the entire plastic set, changed all rubbers, cleaned the plastic ramps, changed the 3 wireform ramps for refurbished ones, polished the PF, changed some lamps.... and made a quick mech revision while/after putting it all together...

The machine now looks gorgeous and plays as smoothly and flawlessly as it never did before!

I'll take some pics tonite!

I don't get the ID4 hate, it's awesome. I have heard it's a repair monster though.

#133 87 days ago

How do you adjust the Alien head? When mine is "resting closed" there is still quite a bit of gap there.

#134 87 days ago

Trying to help a friend with his ID4, where the Super VUK switch rarely registers. Replacing the switch didn't help. Anyone else have this problem and find a solution?

Now experimenting with red enveloped metals.... Replaced the "easy stuff" (legs and lockbar), but I need some help when it comes to the side-rails...
