I don't understand why they can't offer a reasonably price pin for new people just getting in the hobby. My pin fun is very limited, these high prices are killing my chances to own another pin.
To me it make more sense to offer a new $3,000 to $4,000 pin just to bring customers in. I guess manufacturers are not looking at it this way.
I was hoping prices where coming down just for the sake of operators and personal use. With new prices climbing its just a matter of time before used machines are out of my reach. This will turn away people trying to get in the hobby for the first time.

Quoted from NPO:

Could you please point out one game being revealed at Expo right now that costs under $5000?
That's the focus here. Not only are the new games priced out of most people's comfortable grasp, but their prices are also making all the older ones go up. It's a true 2x edge sword, and it could potentially devastate our hobby.

My point exactly!
I would love to own a Addams Family but at the rate in which used pins are rising I don't see it possible. People who can't afford a $10,000 NIB will start looking at the used pins. I give it time before us little guys are pushed out of the hobby all together.
