Picking up my imVE this weekend. Wondering what must-adds on must be put on this puppy? I'm going to add magnet mylar immediately but what else should I get? Does IMVE come with the right ramp protector?

#2 9 years ago

Yeah, the ramp is protected.

I changed all of the lighting in mine.
Pinball refinery armor and lit apron are a must.
Lit Whiplash and War Machine.
Upgraded speakers
Mirror blades.

Disable the orbit post and set Monger start to hard and then hold on for dear life.

Is a shaker motor worth it on this game or even coded for it?

The shaker is a must have on IM. It's integrated very well.

Agreed, if you get only one add on this is it.

All of them? I'm the wrong one to answer this question but it's so hard to not troll every Iron Man thread.

Must resist cramping my thumbs writing all the mods I've put in mine.

Start off with some Cliffy Lane protectors, shaker motor, and a sub.

My suggestion is ,, Replace Every Double Led in the GI's and install Cointaker's Frosted's

lOOks Much Better and Easier on the eYe's and the camera .. Premium 2's for the Inserts ..

and install a Cointaker under cab- Flasher Kit ,, Easy 2 install & what a Killer Light show !!!

The first thing I put in was new pinballs. Factory sterns are garbage.
Then added a shaker motor.
Put on lollipop siderails and red translucent buttons.
Added superbands to the flippers.
I drilled out the arc reactors on war machine and whiplash and added leds in them.
Also hot glue the whips in whiplashes hands.

Then change out some of the leds as you see fit.

erak, you dont screw in the lollipop side rails?

What about the green start button? You guys like that?

#11 9 years ago

I would say start with anything that will affect function of the game, then work towards stuff that just makes it more aesthetically pleasing.

New balls
Shaker
Ext. sub
Real service rails

No they actually dont need to be screwed in. The buttons i put on the sides actually hold them to the cabinet. They are bigger outside diameter. I dont want holes in the cabinet art decal anyway.
The set on my Star trek dont even have the screw holes.
But the button holes are bigger they have felt backing against the cab.
For home use only, where someone wont try to bend them up.

The only reason I could see a purpose for the screws is out on route.

Pics of IMVE and ST pro.

There are lots of dress ups but have to have.....New balls. Stock balls suck. I have tons of mods on my site but its all eye candy. Hookedonpinball.com

Where'd you get the ST ones?

Also, you have great taste in games!

I think this is the one game that really needs the full blown Refinery treatment.

pbl sells the rails without screw holes.
