    Quoted from snyper2099:

just make friends or play one on location.

How dare you sir. I got into pinball so I don't have to make friends!!!!

Just joking. I've made a few friends since playing pinball and meet a lot of people and chatted with people as well. I met Fred from Papa Pinball at the recent Expo in Wheeling.
As for location... Only a few locations around me that really have pinball and those are about a 40-60 minute drive. And I generally drive once a month to go to one of those locations. Because, well... It is a hell of a lot cheaper to play a pin on location than to ever buy one.

So I do agree with that point. But, you are limited to what you have available. Since galloping ghost has an AFM and I go there about once a month... I really don't think I'll be buying one soon. Stinks, cos I love that game. But, makes no sense to drop the coin on that, while I can get a game that no one else has near me.

If you’re middle-aged, you’ve got around 25 years left. You’ll wait a year for DEEPROOT?! That’s giving up around 4% of the time you’ve got left! F that.

Wow!!!! I didn't think people besides me really thought like that. I'm 35 and I told my best friend something very similar and he's like, is it always figures and dates with you. I'm like yeah... If I'm lucky I can buy one pinball machine each year(one NIB) and I'll be able to have about 30-40 when I get forced into a retirement home.

There is a huge difference between test driving games once they are out to better understand what you want to buy, and clamoring over an unreleased game, even considering setting money aside for it, that may not be great or ever get released.
I hope they make amazing machines that are fun to play. But the only money I would put towards one before owing it is with a coin drop on location.

I agree. Like most people I would prefer to always play a game before I buy it. But, with the stupid and forced/fake scarcity of the LE models. You don't always get that chance. I think they do it that way to guarantee that they make money on the run. This way. They know how many they will sell no matter what and they can budget accordingly.
Raza looks pretty cool. The cab art is crap, but its not finalized. I'm all for more quality pins being made(provided they are quality). As I do think that could help Stern stay competitive and also maybe keep their prices a bit more fixed. I think with JJP that gave Stern some leeway to raise prices, not keep them lower. So if this company comes in and wants to deliver games on the 5-7.5k tier. I'd be open to that.

I personally rather have more backglass and less LCD. So I like the dmd for Deeproot. It's all you need. With that being said I love the video for Elivra's House of Horrors. So cool.

Not true. You ALWAYS get that chance. Might have to pay more, but you always have the option to experience the game you want before you buy it.

I don't like the hassle that comes from buying 2nd hand. True I've bought 4 of my 7 pinballs 2nd hand. But, I kind of like having a distributor come drop my machine off and set it up for me.

So, I don't really like to risk not being able to get the machine I want and risk it not being available. Certain LE's do sell out really quick. I remember waiting just a few days for a Monster Bash LE and how much of a pain it was to find one available, and their are over 1k of those. So I really didn't want to risk it with Elvira. I got mine ordered right away.

Funny thing. At the Wheeling Expo there were a ton of them. But, those were the hardest machines to get on. And so I think I only played one game on an Elvira that whole weekend. But, I already had mine setup at my home, so it wasn't a big deal. Still I like to see how other machines play besides my own.

I don't know how many NIB I will be buying from now on. As really Iron Maiden and Elvira I think are the last of the dream themes for me. I do want a Ghostbusters, but that'll have to be used. That is unless someone makes a Hardbody II... In that cause I'd buy the SLE!!!!!!!
