Quoted from rai:I just wish Mike wasn't so old he's starting to look like Gollum.
What's old got to do with it? He's a bad mofo & I bet he could kick your ass!!

Quoted from rai:I just wish Mike wasn't so old he's starting to look like Gollum.
What's old got to do with it? He's a bad mofo & I bet he could kick your ass!!
Quoted from Azmodeus:I would also throw in the kolchak the night stalker.
Was good back in the day, now seems really dated. (lame)
Quoted from trunchbull:» YouTube video
Alrighty then, looks like you have to be really wasted to watch this!!
Just finished "7 Seconds" on Netflix, new series with 1 season so far from the same person that did "The Killing". If you like Law and Order this is way more intense.
Quoted from Darcy:Check out 'Bosch'. Some other Pinsiders have mentioned it. A crime drama that is well produced with many interesting episodes.
New season of Bosch just started...I'll be tied up watching the NHL playoffs till June!!
Quoted from Spagano314:I’m currently watching the 2nd season of Ozark
Just started in on season 1, so much good stuff to stream!!
I've been getting into The Good Cop on Netflix. Kind of a law & order type cop show with some humor in it.
Tony Danza is the dad & his son is the good cop. Danza was not a good cop. LOL
Quoted from gweempose:I mentioned it earlier in the thread, but I just want to reiterate that Fargo is a phenomenal show! There are three seasons so far. All three are awesome, and I believe they are making one more.
Loved the one with Billy Bob Thornton, 1st season I believe...
Quoted from schwarz:Normally love Fargo but can’t get into this season.
Just finished episode two, should I continue?
I am, episode 1 was slow but things are gonna start building up!! IMO
Quoted from Azmodeus:Catching up on walking dead. It is about to hit the fan. They are about to meet a guy named negan.
You've got a lot of catching up to do!!
Quoted from rai:Is anyone watching ‘The Flight Attendant’?
I watched episode one but not sure if it’s worth continuing.
I saw that 1st episode and looked interesting but don't have HBO max, and don't plan on getting it either. Would probably continue if on network TV or Netflix/Amazon.
We just finished Manhunt: Deadly Games, on Netflix. This one was the Richard Jewell story, the next one is the Unabomber one. These are very much like Criminal Minds, where the FBI creates a profile to go on.
Quoted from Oscope:Goliath with Billy Bob Thornton is fantastic
4th and final season supposedly coming out this year...2021
Quoted from rai:I’m watching ‘Mare of Easttown’ on HBO
It’s pretty good set in a fictionalized Philly burbs nearby where I’m from. They say it’s got great Philly accents but to me it’s a bit thick over exaggerated, I can hear it somewhat true.
Only thing is they make the town look halfway like Appalachian, now I’m not saying the burbs are super snooty like Big Little Lies (Monterey) but I don’t remember it being that Hicksville but maybe some parts are like Bethel township and it’s filmed in Aston PA.
I hears Kate Winslet is now a fan of Wawa's. LOL
Quoted from boscokid:I can't even imagine being a fan of the mob genre and just starting Sopranos now. You definitely have hours of quality TV ahead of you.
Daughter hooked us up with HBO MAX!
Just started watching Lilyhammer on Netflix. Funny as shit mob series starring Steve Van Sandt from Sopranos.
Highly recommend it.
Quoted from girloveswaffles:I bought that a couple of weeks ago, but I haven't watched it yet. To busy watching Ash Vs. Evil Dead and Gold Rush currently.
I've heard nothing but good about Nobody.
There's a lot of bonus stuff on the DVD about how they did certain stunts etc.
Quoted from phil-lee:Have to see this. Buy the disc, or is it available on any of the Majors? Thanks. Love this Guy.
Netflix, I imagine it's online but We still have the DVD plan also.
Quoted from sulli10:Goliath.. can not go wrong with Bad Santa playing a lawyer.
What season are you on?
Boardwalk Empire is pretty cool. Guess politics and the mob go hand in hand. Set in prohibition time Atlantic City, so I'm familiar with a lot of the areas.
Quoted from sulli10:Snowpiercer is coming out with season 3, January 24. A really cool show with a lot going on.
I have to try to stream it. I find it strange but intriguing, always just catch parts of episodes.
Quoted from girloveswaffles:I've never watched Snowpiercer, but I am interested in watching it. But I Think I'd like to watch the Movie first.
Did not know there was a movie, have to check it out. Thanks
Like male or femal
Quoted from PinlordMarc:I'm a big fan overall and love how much diversity and inclusion the cast has -- even though the captain is predictably a white cis male.
Yeah, this is what I'm looking for in a good show.
Quoted from littlecammi:For you binge watchers, there are already three seasons of 1000-Lb. Sisters.
My question is . . . why? Who could possibly enjoy watching such a show?
Same people who watch Dr. Pimple Popper?
Quoted from girloveswaffles:or "My Cat from Hell".
[quoted image]
That show is actually pretty cool. I saw one episode where they rescued a bunch of feral cats in Philly area.
Quoted from MotorCityMatt:Ozark is crazy good. One of the best on Netflix.
Ruth is one crazy chick!
Quoted from rai:I like it, just finished season 3 but to me it’s way less believable than Breaking Bad or The Sopranos.
If you liked the Sopranos, I would recommend Lillihammer, it stars Steven Van Sandt who plays, you guessed it, a mobster.
Quite humorous too!
Quoted from romulusx:Better Call Saul.Damn last nights episode so good
Great episode!! Sorry to see ..... go.
Quoted from Deaconblooze:That was a good one. I really would have liked to see what it would have been like with Gandolfini, but Torturro did a great job.
That was good, John Turturro is a great character actor.
Quoted from toyotaboy:Same.. adam gets pretty repetitive. Once in a while he'll have a new story about while he's traveling doing standup that's interesting. The show I really liked adam on was that "catch a contractor" show which I'm guessing is probably more of a problem in California than any other.
Haven't seen this in awhile, but Adam would find weed out the scammers and make it funny.
Quoted from poppapin:Watching the last episode of Saul tonight, sad to see it go.
Great ending!!
Quoted from DCFAN:Just watched the first episode of “Sprung” on Amazon prime. I am encouraged by the episode.
It is sort of of the Raising Arizona and My Name Is Earl genre of comedy.
I'll have to check it out, I loved Earl. (Not in a gay way)
Quoted from DanQverymuch:No kidding. STILL, IT WOULD BE NICE if the person mentioning the show would do that the one time for everyone else, if they're really so dense as to not know which service they watched it on to begin with.
I can't imagine why they wouldn't say which service, unless they take some perverse pleasure out of making everyone else do it dozens (hundreds?) of times in all, with many getting to find out that way that they don't have the service required to see it. Not nice.
Threads been going for 42 pages without any bitching.
Quoted from DanQverymuch:I searched and didn't see the Hulu series Chance mentioned. Nice two season bingeworthy psychological crime thriller starring Hugh Laurie with a refreshing role for Jason Suplee as a badass dude instead of a dumbass one (e.g. My Name is Earl). Mr. Suplee has chops I was not aware of!
I think you mean Ethan Suplee, who played Randy. Jason Lee played Earl.
Quoted from DanQverymuch:Correct, will edit. Thanks, I guess, but a PM would have prevented the embarrassment I'm sure you weren't after.
Huh, I'm not embarrassed and you shouldn't be either. Just a mistake.
Not a TV series but a movie called Father Stu, starring Mark Wahlberg. Inspirational and based on a true story.
Quoted from DanQverymuch:Found a hidden gem on Prime: Garth Marenghi's Darkplace (2004)
If you like campy, so-bad-it's-good humor, give this a look. Features Matt Berry (WWDITS) and Richard Ayoade, who later appear together in The IT Crowd. Funny stuff! Only six episodes though...
Stoopernatural goings on in a cheesy hospital, what a setup! And episode 1 has a pinball in the background in their break room, so I'm off to include it in that thread as well!
What pin?
Quoted from poppapin:Started watching "Your Honor" with Bryan Cranston on prime. Interesting so far.
Actually its on Showtime
Quoted from Rdoyle1978:You can watch Showtime via Prime
Certain episodes, then they want you to pay.
Anyone watching "Lucky Hank" on AMC with Bob Odenkirk? I want to like it cause I like Bob as a actor (Breaking Bad, Saul) but this is boring, watching a bunch of pompous college professors.
Quoted from Rdoyle1978:I only made it through episode 1. I wanted to like it … but as compelling an actor/personality as Odenkirk is… yeah, I could not figure out why I was supposed to care about his self-caused issues
I still have it set to DVR, and watched one episode the other night (maybe episode #4) it got kinda funny after their school protest they all got drunk at a bar.
Quoted from Zablon:He's got a new show coming out soon as well, but I forget what it is called.
The Bear is an interesting watch. I am not sure I call it 'good' but interesting enough to keep me watching.
==========
We started watching a BBC show called simply "Jerk". It's about a guy with cerebral palsy from the US trying to make a living in Great Britain and keeps trying to figure out ways to not get deported. He's a complete ass to everyone. Pretty funny, and not shy to offend. There's 3 seasons, first 2 are 4 episodes, and the newest (haven't got to it yet) is 6 so far.
Hope you're not talking about Lucky Hank, that blows.
Quoted from Strummy:Anyone have any good British show recommendations?
The Stranger on netflix
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Stranger_(British_TV_series)
Quoted from karate:I just binged on “Rhoda”..so
I like the old Johnny Carson shows
Quoted from romulusx:Got to disagree if you’re talking about the Eastwood movie!
Now I will agree he should have retired after The Mule and not made Cry Macho lol.
Clint has been a badass for a shitload of years.I will cry when he reaches the end of the trail
I'm a Clint fan too!
Quoted from N101AA:What was the consensus on Lucky Hank? Good? Okay? Not so good? I have the first season on my DVR waiting to be watched, but I don't seem to be too interested in it right now as I didn't hear a whole lot about the show when it first aired.
It was strange and quirky, only watched it for Bob Odenkirk. Hope there's not a season 2.
Quoted from mostater:Finished season 2 of the Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. Just as good as the first IMO. Has an Oceans Eleven vibe...even has Elliot Gould in it
Hoping for a season 3 soon, but with the writers strike who knows.
Quoted from romulusx:Start an online petition!
It worked for HBO (max) Warrior
Writer's strike stopped a lot of shows.
Quoted from Irishbastard:I loved seasons 1-3, did not like season four (only made it a few episodes), just gave up on season five last night...Not a fan.
Give it a chance.
Quoted from Irishbastard:I loved seasons 1-3, did not like season four (only made it a few episodes), just gave up on season five last night...Not a fan.
Episode 4 had a Home Alone vibe to it. Getting interesting!
Quoted from o-din:I always liked Seal Team.
And now that it is free again, I like it once more.
Me too! But there are no new episodes.
Quoted from Neal_W:Best thing I have seen in a long time. Watching twice was not enough.
Fargo Season 5
[quoted image]
Hope there's a season 6.
Quoted from fosaisu:Cast looks great! I've never dipped into Fargo but now may be the time. Am I right that you can jump in wherever since the seasons aren't really tied together?
Yeah they're all separate stories. Season 1 with Billy Bob was great.
Just started Chance on HULU last night with my wife. Hugh Laurie and Randy from My name is Earl is in it. Randy's a bad ass!
Quoted from pinballslave:The most I explicable thing about Better Call Saul, which was never explained, is why the hell did they replace the sounds on The Gettaway pin for EM pin sounds??? That was the most dumb part of the entire series!
Doh! Now I'll have to watch it again, I don't remember a pin in the show at all.
Quoted from pinballslave:I guess it's about 1/2 way through... the Germans who are building the underground lab for Gus have a recreation hall, where the pin is... there's a scene where one if the workers is playing it.
Yeah, it's all coming back now.
Quoted from smalltownguy2:Thanks for the recommendation of Fargo season 5. Was a fun ride. I went ahead and tried season 4 as well - was worth the watch too. Chris Rock did a pretty good job. I'd recommend season 4.
Season 1 is excellent with Billy Bob Thornton, he's a hell of a versatile actor.
