Black Sails just ended, 4 great seasons.

Pirates were a great theme for a show. One of the best from the last 5 years IMO.

Also, it was made by Starz, so it's uncut/adult.

Hell on wheels, justified, rectify, taboo, Americans... All great suggestions.

Also: Vikings.

Quoted from Azmodeus:

banshee was amazing and only a few seasons. Violence violence and violence. Awesome.

Best action show ever made. So many classic fight scenes.

Quoted from Azmodeus:

Deadwood is bad ass. I hated to see that go. I wouldn't be suprised to see another season of deadwood someday. Seems to have a big enough following after the fact and most of the actors are still around?

David Milch is currently writing the Deadwood movie.

Quoted from Cornelius:

I don't think anyone mentioned Hannibal yet, have they? That's my choice for sure. Mads Mikklesen takes the good doctor in a completely different direction than Anthony Hopkins (or Brian Cox if you're a completist) did. Pure, charming evil. Definitely not for the faint of heart.
Also not for the faint of heart: The Knick on Cinemax. All about The Knickerbocker hospital in NY around the turn of the century, with a special focus on Dr. Thacker: genius surgeon with an insatiable coke addiction. Also stars Bono's daughter as an innocent-but-trying-real-hard-not-to-be nurse!
Finally, if you haven't seen Party Down, get a subscription to Hulu and watch it RIGHT NOW. Spend two incredible seasons with the Party Down Catering Company as each episode has them hosting a different party in LA. An unbelievable cast (Adam Scott! Lizzy Caplan! Ken Marino! Jane Lynch right before Glee fame!) with an unbeatable premise. Two seasons, twenty episodes that go by way too quickly.

All excellent choices.

Quoted from GRB1959:

Another good series is Rome (only 2 seasons) which is included with an Amazon Prime membership. I really wish they had created another couple of seasons for this series.
Gord

Rome is right up there with Deadwood for me, my two all time favs.

Quoted from gweempose:

My wife and I absolutely love the British comedy Catastrophe on Amazon Prime. Really funny stuff, and it's only six episodes per season, so it's easy to binge. Season three starts in a week.
I'd also highly recommend Episodes with Matt LeBlanc.

Episodes is great, nice to see another fan of that underrated series.

S3 of Catastrophe was good, you'll enjoy it.
