Quoted from gweempose:I watched the season finale of Severance last night. Simply brilliant! It was honestly one of the best individual episodes of TV I've ever seen.
This right here. I've been recommending Severance to all my friends.

Quoted from northerndude:This new season is one of the best for sure, they've gone dark (I like it) , the kids are in high school, and I think it's a total hit.
Agreed - I am only three episodes in, but I love how dark it is...really digging it so far.
Personally, I have come to love The Orville. When I first started watching, I was kind of annoyed and felt like it was a total STTNG ripoff - and quite frankly, in many ways, it is (once I embraced that and let the annoyance go, it helped). Season 1 was a little rough, season 2 was good, and I thought season 3 was fantastic. It is definitely a spiritual successor to STTNG - and just like STTNG it took several seasons for it to get good. People who lean right politically probably will not like it - plenty of social commentary. Just throwing that one into the ring for Sci-fi fans.
Quoted from Mrbill:I thought season 3 was the worst of the 3. They really jumped into preaching a message in just about every episode.
Yeah, definitely more social commentary in season 3...but I didn't mind that, and since most of it aligns with my feelings on the matters, it worked for me. From my perspective, season 3 really stepped up the production value, special effects, story telling, etc. But obviously different strokes for different folks, and I could understand why some may not like it.
Quoted from Zablon:The Orville isn't overall, but there are quite a few very pointed social commentary episodes. However, I think they are done well in the context of the show.
Agreed. It's not being preachy, but the stories certainly have a parallel to current social issues. I feel they are interwoven well into the stories and characters.
