Altered Carbon on Netflix you will NOT be disappointed.

I really enjoyed the first season but I heard the second season isn't nearly as good. Should I watch it?

I have not watched it but I thought Euphoria was supposed to have a lot of T&A.

Added Apple TV. Should come as news to no one but Ted Lasso S1 is outstanding, I suspect finding $5 a month value from this will be easy.

Kind of a pain for me to stream though. My Sony XBR-65X850C does not support the Apple app and my Firestick (V1) is from 2015 so it appears to also not support the app. My only options so far are run Apple website from laptop and Chromecast to TV or Apple website from phone (Google Pixel 6 pro) and Google Home to screencast to TV. Screencasting is a last resort as it takes your phone out of commission for the duration of the stream.

Guess I will order the newest version of Firestick and see if I can get it to work there.

Slow Horses, Severance, Schmigadoon, Mythic Quest (“A Dark Quiet Death” has to be one of the all time best episodes of any show I've watched - Longbottom backstory episode is fabulous too), and Acapulco are all excellent shows.

If you cast from a computer, you can simply stream a tab and continue using your computer normally. Doesn't have to be over wireless either, if your computer is connected to the same network on cat5 it will see the chrome device. Another option if you don't want to go through a chrome device is to simply buy a long HDMI cable and a splitter so your TV acts like a 2nd monitor.

Exactly - I can stream via Chrome and cast to TV but its normally good for 1 or 2 episodes before Apple locks up and I need to reset my stream. Since it only stops after the end of an episode and not all the time they may be sending a signal that I am blocking. Probably need to view my pi-hole logs and see if there is anything getting caught by the network adblocker.

RIP Ted Lasso. They just announced the upcoming season 3 is the end.

She and the show is starting to get serious backlash from the anti-body shamers. These are supposedly the group of fatties who gave us the current mom Jean fad. What they really are is a group that shame female nudity by women who actually don’t mind showing off their fit bodies. Apparently poor Sydney made the mistake of wearing low rise (god forbid) to the MTV awards and is getting pummeled for bringing back the “anorexic and toxic body dysmorphia style” of the late 90s early aughts. Let’s hope it gets brought back. I’ve had enough of the kardashians and their photoshopped fat asses.

We don’t agree on somethings but I do agree 100% with this post.
I’m sick of all those huge disgusting asses!!!

When it’s over I might just have to check this out since everyone says it’s so good. I’ve always liked what’s his face but the whole European soccer setting wasn’t going to get me to watch it when it was announced.

I get the sentiment. However there is a nice and under-appreciated formula to end the show in a compact way that makes rewatching pleasant.

Not actually a series, but a 2 part documentary on HBOMax
about the life of George Carlin.
Very Good. Details how his career changed over the span of 50 yrs
He definitely spoke his mind
Can't believe he died over 14 yrs ago.
So much of what he tells the audience and warns us about, are now clearer than ever.

His best work was his 1992 HBO special. I remember being gung ho on the war and Bush like almost everybody else and watching the special and finding it funny at the time but disagreeing with him somewhat. Then rewatching it years later realizing he was spot on, on a lot of his commentary.
I can only imagine what Carlin would have to say about todays politicians.

Shining girls was pretty good, one season. Takes a few episodes to get interesting. Same woman from the hand maids tal.

I saw him live once when I was around 14 years old. Must have been 82. We were farther back so we did not get splattered.

I’m going to watch that special.

Back in about 1969 (+/- a yr), one summer weekend,
my dad took me with him on a trip to S. Lake Tahoe.
He gambled (played cards Poker, BlackJack etc)
He let me loose in the casino's arcades with pinball and pitch & bats and gun games and teen clubs, disco.
I was probably in 8th or 9th grade.
One night we both went to a show,
which featured George Carlin, as an opening act,
when he was still straight laced (at least in outward appearance)
short hair business suit and tie .
His act was just starting to get subversive.
We both loved it, a great bonding moment.
The headline act that night was believe it or not
Tiny Tim.

George Carlin is definitely on the Mount Rushmore of comedians and philosophers of our time.

That's what I thought. We saw him front row, and we all shared a much needed giant piece of plastic for protection.

I really enjoy The Boys. Might be a little too much for some people but I find it pretty funny. Season 3 is going strong so far.

Severance!

Severance!

And severance again.

Probably the best show I have seen in a long time.

I want season 2 now!

Never seen a minute of Handmaids Tale. As far as Obi-Wan, the two lousy actresses seemed to settle down a bit in the last episode. Much better acting. Not great, but much better.

Checking out the boys new episodes. If you enjoyed the series so far, it’s a treat.

The comic was not nearly as good to me as the show. This is a nice surprise to me.

The book Handmaids Tale was a classic, and I liked the first half of the first season but I felt my attention drifting by the end of the first season and never made it any further. Does it pick up in subsequent seasons? Maybe I'll go back and give it another try some day.

Maybe one day I’ll check it out. I finally finished the Wire yesterday. Great show, but didn’t really like how some of the characters (like Omar’s) story arcs ended.

Yes, it comes and goes with excitement and drama. it really gets goin in recent season.

Handmaids is a perfect example of a show that should have been only 3 seasons tops. Really great first season that then just dragged and dragged. Same with Orange is the new black. Some show creators just try to milk great assets for all their worth - it's a shame. Which makes me happy Ted Lasso is only going to be three seasons.

I read the book years ago but I'm pretty sure season 1 is the entire original story. Seasons 2-5 are what you get when Hulu needs to make more money

Yep, I read the book as well. I think all of it was covered in season 1, except the epilogue stuff.

Billy the Kid & The Offer are both fantastic. Well Billy the Kid is obviously about Billy the Kid and The Offer is about the making of the Godfather. Interesting facts come to light, like Marlon Brando took the role of the Don at a base salary to piss off Frank Sinatra

The new season of Barry was excellent. I really wish the episodes were longer or they had more of them!

Just finished the first season of Yellowstone. My wife and I are really enjoying this show. We're trying to make it last, and not binge watch it .
