I want to say that I am a complete forum-snob, and these Pinside forums are the most active, well-laid-out, nicest forums that i've ever, ever used...

I'm from the Detroit, MI USA area - and I'm not new to playing pinball (I've always been a fan), but I'm now taking the jump into owning a machine (which I'm sure will turn into another one.....and another one...and....). I have my eyes peeled for local machines....

So, with that said, I'm currently on the hunt for my first machine, and it's fun as hell! These forums are a great resource, and I've already met some awesome people....

Welcome. You are lucky because you guys have some great on-location pinball. Marvin's, M-Brew, One-Eyed Betty's, The Arcade... I haven't even made it out to that place in Chesterfield yet.

Funny, I went to that bowling alley for a 50th birthday surprise party and saw the pinball room and said to my wife "holy sh$% look at that!!!" Her eyes rolled and she said "oh, great.... looks like I won't see you the entire night, and you're probably not bowling"

Welcome to the sickness Matt!. As others have said, there are tons of great places to play around here. Where exactly are you? West side? East Side? Downtown?

If you are more westerly, don't forget Pinball Pete's in Ann Arbor. They have a ton of the recent Stern LE's.
