This is a good point.
Keep in mind that when some posts above use the word ‘garbage’ to refer to virtual pins, they are talking about the large number of attempts out there that really are just that.
One reason is that it takes a lot of time to make one of these not be garbage and it’s a moving target as they hardware and software keeps improving rapidly. Anything made today will seem like garbage a few years down the road. Tried one recently and I couldn’t even plunge the ball it was so bad and this is common because it takes time and know-how to build these things properly from scratch.
I’m sure it’s a fun hobby so go for it but know when it comes time to sell, almost no one will be interested in buying it.
