Over the years I've played a few virtual pinball machines at shows. Most of the time, the experience is "meh". In March, however, I played a Pinball FX2 Championship Edition machine at Zapcon. I was surprised. It was one of my favorite machines at the show. Based on that experience, if I was going to build my own virtual pin, I think I would want a great sound system, solenoids (so, for example, you feel/hear solenoids when pressing flipper buttons), 3 displays, latest Pinball FX2/3 tables, etc.
