Imagine picking up your new Ferrari and it has minor cracking in whatever body part and your salesman tells you its just cosmetic and they won't do anything.
Quoted from TxJay:where was all of the outrage from some of you when all the people were posting about the problems they were having with their NIB KISS machines?
There was no need for any outrage as Stern lives up to the warranty on their games.
Quoted from kporter946286:comparing a $7,400,000,000 company to JJP whom is probably $10 million or less company is a complete apple's to oranges comparison which is not very fair to either company
They both make the "more expensive" items for the car/pin world, hence a great comparison.
Quoted from kporter946286:MY right TRON ramp broke too!!
Thats your fault, you weren't loving it enough. TRON felt the absence of your heart and crumbled.
Quoted from Whysnow:not always the case. Brand NEW Metallica. 72 games played and large paint flake came up from sparky magnet area due to a defective playfield. Owner was told they can either pay for the new playfield or commit to a short turnaround for a full swap on their own time and must return the damaged pf on their own dime.
Bummer, at least it got some plays before an issue popped up. Was the magnet installed well? (flush to pf and all....)
Quoted from Whysnow:Yeah, magnet appeared to be installed flush and clean. The defect appears to be in the actual paint/ink adhesion in that area of the pf. There was another recent post with a METled that was made around the same date with a nearly identical looking flake that came up in the same spot. Guessing it was a bad / miss when doing the prep.
How big a chunk popped up? Coverable by a cliffy magnet protector? Interested to see if there are more issues with that specific pf.
Is this one you have on route? Pro Im guessing? Just curious....
Quoted from o-din:Pinside is livid.
Thread eject. Dont question pinside. Or else.......NUTPUNCH!
Quoted from o-din:So you get new ramps?
Sweet, now he has new ramps for the game that he sold already.
Quoted from vid1900:That was a smart move by Jack.
Wait till the customer sells the game, then **reach out** and offer to make good on a factory defect.
Brilliant, really.
Id hang them on the wall as art.....
Quoted from Bryan_Kelly:I can be an asshole when I need to be.
We all thought that was a 7day a week job for you?
