Quoted from dmacy:Thanks for the heads up on silk screening. Did you do any practice runs? I have lots of paint thinner and will have a bunch of paper towels ready.
My practice run is what screwed up my first real run. I didn't realize how fast that yellow paint starts to dry and choke up the screen... I did the first run as practice. Looked great. Quickly moved the screen over to the cab, thinking that I could just add a tad more paint, but the screen had already started clogging. Fortunately, I was able to clean the paint off the cab quickly and didn't have to sand or shoot another coat of black. I cleaned the screen thoroughly with Bryan's thinner/folded paper towel method, and the next run was fine.
Bryan, thanks fur the putty knife tip. Moving on to a monster bash resto next. I took my time and learned a lot on that afm project (my first real restoration). Thinking I might be able to cut my labor time in half this time around
