Thanks all !
Cliffys are a standard item for me, the Colordmd comes with the game.
Very much looking forward to getting this game, dialing it in and following up on the great info provided
Rob
Quoted from pinballinreno:The mode start is a seperate issue being worked on right now.
Read upwards a few posts
The Davi deflector? If it's that he's sold out
Quoted from radial_head:Looks great! Davi if and when you make new airball deflectors, put me on your list!
Plus 1
Quoted from AaronZOOM:The POA can be a pain to remove, because you need to remove a lot of the surrounding ramps and hardware to access the set screw on the rear shaft and the screws holding the bottom half mount to the main playfield
Everthing coming off regardless...
Thanks all for the advise
Quoted from pinballinreno:I use nev r dull.
Brasso is too abrasive for plate.
Thank you
Quoted from PiperPinball:Making some new Indy mods
They look great... good job
What type of wood are you making these from ?
Quoted from Psw757:Looks good, what are you lighting rope bridge up with?
The 3 PCB light board behind !

Pm sent
Quoted from PtownPin:U might want to get ricochet right out lane guard
Any one have a picture of this?
Quoted from PtownPin:Agree with @pinballreno should have been there all along
Ditto
Quoted from Ricochet:For those of you who feel like tackling routing the jackpot awards on your speaker panel..
Thank you so much for this, already sent to my printer and he will CNC the panel ...
I used a 555 socket bent the tab so it's facing straight up and a 6 inch matrix connector , wired into the GI , was going to use strips however I didn't want the light to bleed from under
Quoted from Ricochet:This is a copy of my speaker panel, its been checked with a test plot but I've never used it.
Will do
Quoted from Toine79:Santa is coming from Spain this years with a big surprise
Quoted from Ricochet:for a bit... its coming... its just on pause at the moment.
Game been around since 1993 , couple weeks are not going to matter!
Thanks for doing this
Quoted from PiperPinball:We Redesigned the right wire ramp to go through the ruins. It really opens up the middle of the playfield!
So I was just looking over the picture again ... where are the planes?
Its a 555 for the "hand of fate" I use a flex bulb from Comet ... as for why it would stay lit I have no idea ...
Not close to the game to check
Quoted from bkaelin:Is it a #555 or a type 89 flasher?
To clarify ...
Correct bulb is 555
Wedge base flasher is a 906
Bayonet based flasher is a 89
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:Yes, error. These 90's manuals are full of them.
This particular ribbon cable can get old.
To test the the sound board was going to swap boards with my No Fear ... seems I have lost sound to the DMD panel speakers on the Indy
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:Try swapping the No Feat ribbon cable first.
Thanks Eric
Quoted from Inpw:The previous owner switched out the sockets in the pop bumpers and the PoA top GI to wedge style
Mine is the same with 555 , never have I seen a Williams game newer style with 44/47 sockets
Quoted from Navystan:And, the icing on the cake is I actually got to final wizard mode and hit all switches for 1 billion points. Ended up with 2.6 billion
That's amazing... I struggled to get to 1.6 billion , find that I have average games, then all seems to flow and I have a great one.
Still find this game gets the best of me .
Quoted from PiperPinball:Poor mans shaker motor installed
Looks like the shaker motor my wife keeps in her bedside drawer
Quoted from pinballinreno:I use nev r dull, its non abrasive and works well.
Its just thin plating, go easy on them
Followed this suggestion from #pinballinreno and they came out nice and shiney
Nev R Dull is a fiber based material that you can clean the wire forms with ... I wouldn't use anything to scratch the surface
Quoted from radial_head:When rebuilding, I can’t figure out where this piece goes. Not the mode scoop.... but just can’t seem to figure out where.
Behind the entrance to the subway ... by the drop targets to load idol
Anyone have the carriage bolt size for the side rails?
Also looking for the schematics for the DCS sound board!
Quoted from CashMoney:Ok everyone, if you could only pick 1 upgrade to do on IJ, which of these 2 would you pick?
1. Color DMD
2. PinSound package
Colordmd
Quoted from Andypc:The Man with the Golden Gun...
All you need now is a third nipple
Quoted from 2pupPinz:Yes the lcd fits with the jackpot board installed too
Just need the LED version... not the 555 twist in bulb board
Quoted from Davi:Idol base in transparent orange available at PPS.
Looks and advertised as yellow , but good news at $19.95 a lot cheaper than the $95.00 one on flea bay
Having an issue that I've ignored since I got this Indy
The connector for the extra ball button has been disconnected which goes to J6 ... when connected the fuse will blow on the main board.
The start button is working as it should , extra ball buy in doesn't. Both buttons the lights in the buttons are not lighting
Quoted from Ricochet:It looks like the eyelet is either secured to the leg bracket
In fact it is attached to the leg bracket, will change it so its like in the picture provided by thechakapakuni
Will let you know the outcome
Thanks to all for the info ... so far
Thanks all , switched the resistor off the leg. Fuse not blowing and extra ball buy in button works as should in switch test.
Thank all for the help
Rob
Quoted from pinballinreno:This way I have a wire with a spade connector on the switch itself for a slightly cleaner installation
Mine is done the same , but looks like factory tubing, when buying the game noticed it was disconnected but thought that someone didnt want the extra ball buy in to be used.
Again thanks to all for the quick fix. Played a game and tried out the buy in... worked like charm but didn't help my score .
Quoted from PeterG:sounds good, take your time, all good things take time.
^^^^^^^ what he said !
Quoted from Turtlemaster:I was wondering if you all have this ball guide on your IJ ?
mine has it! its usually the one by the gate was never done by the factory!
