Quoted from beelzeboob:Black nickel plating on the gun. You can thank me later.
I'll thank you now if you can tell me who is still doing black nickel plating.

Quoted from Tsskinne:New decals arrived. image.jpg image.jpg
I'm taking mine out tonight. Now you need to get to this pointimage.jpg
Quoted from jazc4:Then Indy will get the treatment it deserves
I know what you mean.
Quoted from Astropin:Here is the current state of my IJ.....getting prepped for new decals:

Astropin,
Is that a heating plate you used to remove the decals?
Quoted from indypinhead:Yes, I'm selling them.
$110 plus shipping.
How do they hold up?
Quoted from KornFreak28:Hello!
Anybody here know the part number for the coil tubing for the diverter gate coil? It's not listed in the manual. Thanks!
The sleeve is 2 1/16
Quoted from KornFreak28:Thanks! Are you restoring yours?
On the table as we speak.
Quoted from KornFreak28:Looks NICE!!!!! Can you share more pics? Thanks!!!
Brass on the conventional parts and s sent everything else out to Chris Royalty for chrome. Nickel plating on the mechs
Quoted from koops:Would you mind showing more pics of how your nice pf rotisserie is put together and how it holds your playfield. I'm guessing there are a couple of clamps but I can't see how the rear of the playfield is held in place.
Quoted from beelzeboob:My game doesn't shut up. But I have the Pinsound card with reorchestrations. Endprodukt added a shit ton of new callouts (the game even curses when you lose your ball!). Each character talks when you complete them, and there are callouts every time you hit a lit shot in every mode. Tons of callouts.
That plus the voices in your head. Must be overwhelming.
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:Its a game of chance Bezel!
Ive been reading this fix for years wondering why everyone wants to make the shot easier.
Its a game.
Mine, when i can make shot sticks 70% of the time, its not supposed to be 100%.
My 2 cents, dont hate me.
But this mod and fix is frustrating to read.
Enjoy the game as designed.
Eric,I hate you because your right!
Quoted from Averell:I have disassembled every assembly of my Indy and I never saw a sticker or something else on a bracket.
Maybe a bigger coil was used and to prevent against short circuit someone put a sticker between?
same here
Quoted from beelzeboob:I don't like you much.
Janice does, that's all that matters.
And then again Brett does too!
Quoted from KornFreak28:For those of you that have a clear coated IJ playfield...What (brad point) drill bit sizes are the most commonly used to drill out the clear? I need to drill out each hole to begin my assembly. Most of them are pretty tiny. Took a trip to Lowe's and Home Depot but the only Brad point drill bits they had were way too big for this project. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I have been using this for years. It cuts the clear in a downward pressure,This alleviates any pulling or tearing,
Quoted from KornFreak28:Looks like a neat tool. I assume there are several sizes for each different hole just like the drill bits? What's the name of this tool? Thanks!
It is a countersink bit. You only need one size.
Quoted from beelzeboob:Doesn't that remove too much of the diameter vs. not enough depth? You don't really want the hole to be visible when you put the wireform, etc. in.
I use it to cut through the clear only. I use it on all screw-holes in the play field. If I need to drill a hole I will use a conventional bit second.
I use that countersink on my pop bumper holes also.
All of my restorations have significant clear on them. I send out my Play-fields, including new ones for additional clearing. If you try to run screws on some of these without pre-drilling,you risk getting lift and separation in the form of a cloudy circle around the protruded area.
Quoted from Damien:Quick question... I'm about to replace the slingshot switches and noticed that one of the switches on each side has a third connection point and there is some sort of diode attached to it. Do I need to desolder and reattach this diode?
Here's a photo of the old switch and the new part that I have.
Yes that is needed. I suggest the next time you place an order for parts ,purchase a few 1N4004 Diodes. They are very common throughout these games. They are also found on multiple other switches and coils. It is extremely important that you pay attention to the direction of the silver/gray stripe on the diode. The Diode is basically an electronic form of a check-valve. Signal/voltage is only allowed to pass through the diode in one direction.
Quoted from Damien:Awesome, thanks!
Would you suggest soldering the diodes first, or the wires for the switches?
I normally put my diode's on first. I do not solder them until I'm ready to do the wires also. The diodes come with a good enough amount of wire that you can bend them with needle nose pliers, more or less clamping them on to the leads
Quoted from Bos98:My Indy just won Best of Show at the Cleveland Pinball and Arcade Show.
Great job on your Indy!
Quoted from beelzeboob:It's my grail for a reason.
I figured you for more of a Future Spa/Gladiators grail guy.
Quoted from beelzeboob:You're the one that restored a Bally Atlantis.
Hot Babes on dolphins, yeh what was I thinking.
