Quoted from per3per3:I appreciate the insights...I've never repaired a trough before. I'll look into that. A new trough is $125 with apparently an improved design. Was fixing be grooves a big pain in the ass?
No need to throw $125 through the window. You can easily repair the old one with dremel tool, if you need to spend some money this might also help: http://www.pinbits.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=449
It is a copy by GAP. Here is the topic about it: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/anyone-ever-try-to-redo-a-ij-like-the-one-disney-has
Here are some nice pictures from Disney IJ cabinet copy from GAP:

Quoted from beelzeboob:Do you have a link for this group? Or the exact name? I can't find it.
I cannot find the group but I think that Pinsider WallyBgood posted a link to it in Building TAF from scratch group. He is also a member of that group so you might ask him via PM for the link.
I have got my first IJ back in 2001 for $200. The idol was not working (unplugged connector) and it had reset issues caused by bad BR2. I got my second one for free - here is the story: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/deal-of-the-week/page/2
I still have both of them.
There are still good deals out there from time to time. Last year I was offered the machines on photos below for a reasonable price - $2000 per piece in a package deal. The guy who was selling them got them for free. He had to clear the warehouse of the pins plus 50 touch screen games.

Quoted from SFBP36:Hi all. Just picked up my first IJPA yesterday. Appears to be an early production example. Gonna need some work, but it’s got good bones. Apparently it’s bees sitting in a warehouse for the past 25 years. One battery was just barely starting to leak, but the boards look clean. Happy to be part of the club! Merry Christmas.

Can you please post a photo of the game number (top right in the backbox). I am trying to figure out how many games shipped with the metal POA siderails. Mine is something above 600 and it has lost plastic, lost plastic lamp board, white Super jackpot insert, jackpot cutouts in the DMD panel but no POA metal siderails and jackpot board lamp (I have just added an aftermarket one from pinsider Davi). Photos of it are available here: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/deal-of-the-week?gallery#g
Thank you.
Quoted from SFBP36:Not sure if this is the area you mean?[quoted image]
This one exactly. The number is 0569. Thanks!
Quoted from ZedMcGlunk:Anyone know where to find a jackpot board these days? Marco showing oos for a while.
Ask pinsider Davi. I have got mine from him. The quality is really good and it supports the regular bulb sockets instead of having LEDs soldered onto.
Addition:
I was notified by a forum member that regular bulbs interfere with ColorDMD LCD so if you are using it these boards might not be the best choice for you and you might need the ones with LEDs soldered onto.
Quoted from Williampinball:Looking for a jackpot light board with the twist bulbs I have the led one new never used but looking for the older one
Ask pinsider Davi. Previous post about his light boards: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/ij-williams-you-cheat-dr-jones-club/page/215#post-7708122
