I traveled an hour to go visit the IJ. The pin traveled to Germany and was shipped back to the US. The owner has owned it for 12 years. The cabinet has faded. The coin door is not USA. There was a lock down bar that was removed at some point. There is s 1inch hole that was cut on the left side of the cabinet. The playfield is in great shape. I only found on insert that has an issue. It has a power supply issue because when you start a game and use the flippers it shuts down. Does anyone make any side art decals? Anyone know someone that could build a new cabinet for it?
Thanks
Thanks everyone for your input on why its resetting. I will report my findings before sending the boards out for repairs. Im very lucky to have Ardvark pinball only 1 hour from my house. This person does awesome work and is very knowledgeable with pins.
If I can find the cabinet decals I will repair it. If you look at the one side of the cabinet someone drilled a hole in and installed a metal plug.
Quoted from delt31:guys - I'm looking to brighten the path of adventure. I see some guys did LEDs over there - can someone explain how or where I can buy a kit? Thanks
I was going to ask that same question when I get around to installing new lights. It will be a few weeks before I get to that.
Quoted from Ricochet:Greetings IJ fans!!!
I'm really new to pinside. I've been in and out of collecting pinball machines for many years and over time I've trimmed my collection to just one machine...and it is IJ! This is one I will never let go.
I am preparing this fall, to tear down the machine for a complete restoration. I acquired the machine many years back (2010)... slowly over time I've purchased all new parts, mods, etc for a complete restoration.
I'm very excited to be here and excited to start this project.

Congratulations on the restoration. I'm going to do the same to mine. I plan to video the entire restoration.
Quoted from Maide:It's a duplicate of the normal speaker panel, but with the extra jackpot-light-holes drilled in the correct shapes. Basically, early in production, they stopped drilling the holes for the jackpot lights, and removed the light boards, to either save time and/or money. This feature is still in the software, so if you install a jackpot light board, and drill-out the correct shapes, it will light up the correct Ark/Stones/Grail item on the lower-part of your speaker panel when you get jackpots. These lights will also flash in attract mode.
Thank you for the information. I plan to restore mine in the winter here.
I'm happy with either plane. I'm sure nobody remembers the exact colors on that fighter plane. A couple weeks ago the wife and I did watch the first three movies after we purchased the pin
Quoted from KornFreak28:Guys on the list: I just had another cancellation. Not cool. Due to this and a lack of comments/interest after I posted about the light board yesterday, I’m forced to cut my loses and cancel this project.
I just cannot have people verbally commiting and then cancelling. Too many hours involved in making these planes that could be spent with my family instead.
My apologies to all. If you are serious and really want the planes PM me and we can make arrangements but as far as the list of people and initial plans, those are off the table. I was pretty exited to work on this project to be honest with you but I just cannot risk spending all the hours involved in making these planes and then have people cancel on me. Thanks for all of your initial interest
I sent you another PM. I'm in no rush for the planes.
Thanks
Quoted from Ricochet:I've been communicating with KornFreak28 on one possible solution to this. I've the material to make an LED harness, one that is PCB-less. There is really nothing to the circuit (couple of diodes, resistors and LEDs). It can hopefully be built using shrink tubing and it may even be able to be put inside the plane... but we need to prototype it first... dunno how it will all work/fit. In the next couple of days I will put together a prototype and if it looks like it will work, I will donate the completed harnesses to be installed in the model(s) for whomever wants them. Please give me a couple of days... I WILL do this, I think KornFreak28's models are awesome and would like to see them completed.
Awesome Thanks for sharing your work with the group
The fighter plane looks awesome. I'm happy to glue the LEDs under the wings. Thanks for your hard work.
Quoted from KornFreak28:This is what Mine looks like....I don’t see orange wires on mine tho
[quoted image]
I wonder where that broken orange wire goes? I tired turning the pin on but it does not boot up. I think I will need to have the boards serviced.
Quoted from Paul_from_Gilroy:The orange wire goes to J121-2 in my game (and as specified in the manual, Page 3-33).
Thank you.......I was going to look in my manual today. This pin had a rough life. It needs a ton of work.
Quoted from pinballinreno:Yes. Mirco is ready just need permissions.
I'm not in a big rush for one. I need new cabinet purchased first.
Thanks for the update
While I was waiting for my next appointment to show up yesterday I started removing ramps and plastics. This poor pin is going to need lots of repairs. Anyone using titan rings? If so does anyone recommend any color rings? I keep finding all kinds of repairs it will need.

I hope to have the MPU board next week. I would like to make some minor repairs to it and play it. The right flipper sticks and the left kicker will not move. I'm going to order a coil sleeve kit from Marco.
