I'm looking to join the club. Willing to drive a good distance from the Charlotte, NC area for a collector quality machine or maybe have something shipped in.

I picked up an IJ and the ball won't drop down to the POA, it just rolls right on through the ramp. Does anything look off here or do I just need to increase the pitch?

Thanks guys. The ball stops at the post, then when it drops, the ball continues on left across the ramp. I'll bend that tab back and give it a bit more pitch.

Quoted from Ricochet:

I just finished my last tweaks to the right outlane ball guide. I've sent it to Cliffy and let him have it... although this is such a trivial bit of work he could have turned it out in a millisecond. None the less ... if it's something people want the demand will drive its availability. I'm not going to get in the business of making them... I was going to but I just don't have the bandwidth... sad but true.

What issue does this prevent/address?

#6172 3 years ago

Thanks. I've got a pending order with Cliff and hit him up to add this piece. Also fixed my "ball passing the POA entrance" issue above by jacking up the rear leg levelers. Looking forward to putting in some time on this game.

Quoted from thechakapakuni:

Actually weird thing is I got some games in last night and today and both left & right orbits now are making perfect loops. Strange but I’ll take it. Now if I can get the ball to 100% drop into the POA it will be brand new

I had to jack up the rear of my game a lot to get the ball into the POA every time. The levelers are maxed out and I put a piece of 1/2 plywood under them to get it up high enough.

I installed the Antidote and it's working great but about 1 out of 4 times the ball is kicked from the mode saucer it goes SDTM. Wondering what the best/easiest way to adjust it would be. Bending the kicker arm to one side?

#8289 2 years ago

It's hitting the left side of the Antidote when it kicks out which is making it unpredictable. Sometimes it will hit the left flipper, sometimes the right, or SDTM. I'll have more time to mess with it tomorrow and should be able to figure it out.

#8294 2 years ago

I spent another hour on it tonight. No matter how much I adjust the kicker and coil bracket, or bend the end of the kicker, it still kicks out into the antidote's right side, then bounces across and hits the left side and often goes SDTM. I don't see a way to make it kick out without hitting it. I tried bending the end of the kicker arm to both sides and it doesn't make a difference.

Is anyone still making CNC cut speaker panels with the 3 cutouts in them for the light board? Or were those a one time thing? I'm hesitant to try and cut them out of my original panel.

Davi Were you the one that made the wood speaker panels with cutouts for the extra light board? Any plans on doing them again?

If anyone is shotgun replacing all of their POA boards I would be interested in buying your used originals

Following along...I have one of the same boards from Marco that I plan on installing soon. Will try and get to it this week and see if mine works.

#8977 2 years ago

I just tested my board and it works OK.

Quoted from PolePosition:

Great catch! Thank you! I think I can fix this, although the desolder/solder is on the topside of the board, so it will be a challenge. Do I rotate the LEDs 180 degrees then?

Check out the second picture I posted

Quoted from pinballinreno:

It should be fairly straightforward to trace whatever you want off the plastic via some parchment paper.
Then just dremel it out. Or drill and coping saw.
Oddly it is very forgiving and any mistakes wont be seen or even noticed.

That's exactly what I did today. Made a stencil from some wax paper my wife had in the kitchen and used a dremel. Took a couple hours but looks perfect.

I’m guessing this means RIP color DMD? Didn’t touch anything, it’s been good for 4 years until today
[quoted image][quoted image]

Maybe the ribbon cable or display board. Go into self tests and run the self test. Reseat the ribbon cable/swap ends. Might get lucky. Odd the colors are missing though.
