Just joined Today! Pickup scheduled for later in the week when I find a decent sized vehicle ! Picked this IJ up for $6500 together with a theatre of magic for a similar sum. Other than the obvious cabinet fading everything inside is in fantastic condition. This completes my wishlist for 90’s titles. Anything from now on is a bonus but the hunt is finally over.

These really light up the pops and are fun how they flash the middle lights on pop hits. Warm white works great with the red caps.

I have a couple in the drawer, I’ll have to get to it for sure! Thanks.

Does anyone know where an original flyer can be found? Usual places that have flyers don’t seem to have this one.

Quoted from Manny65:

Not sure whom you reached out to - both Davi and Djshakes have made airball protectors for both the single and bank of 3 drop targets in the past, however I don't believe they have any left over from their previous runs. If there was enough interest, they may consider making more ...

I’d be interested! Just got my game last week and realized what airballs are really all about. Whoooosh. What’s the solution look like?

Btw, can someone tell me what the best rom version for home use would be? I saw mine has L-4 and I see on open there are quite a few others. Same goes for sound.. what’s the difference if any?

Quoted from Manny65:

At the top of the webpage you can search the thread - searching for "airball" and the pinsider's name to find what they look like

https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=1267 lists the code versions available, L-7 is the latest version. If you download the zipped file it contains a revision text file that details the changes - here's an extract of the change from L-4
Indiana Jones Pinball Software Revision Information
U6: Version L-7
Checksum: A607
Date: November 22, 1993
Changes from revision L-6:
Added a delay on switching the mini-playfield motor direction to
help keep the motor from fatiguing.
Lengthened the firing time on the Path of Adventure up/down post
coil.
Lengthened the firing time on the underplayfield trough post coil.
U6: Version L-6
Checksum: AA06
Date: October 13, 1993
Changes from revision L-5:
Latest sound version is L-3. (U2 checksum: 8F00)
Updated pricing modes to enable $1.00 play.
Fixed a problem in the "complete all modes" that could cause the
mini playfield shots to not be collectable.
The Gun Trigger would not allow buy-in if player tilted on the last
ball. (NOTE: The Gun Trigger does not normally cause buy-in;
it must be set that way by adjustment.)
Drop targets are no longer cycled when the coin door is open. This
prevents them from being marked bad because the interlock switch is
open.
Fixed the third pass of Choose Wisely, which moved very slowly.
U6: Version L-5
Checksum: C105
Date: September 2, 1993
Changes from revision L-4:
This version allows use of French Text. (A.2 21 Language can now
be set to French.)

thank you!

Sorry but I’m currently out of stock on the airball protectors. There is a possibility for more in the future but there has to be enough demand to get a new batch going. Davi will be the one to determine how many sets are needed to make it happen.

someone please tell davi I’m in

Does anyone have installation instructions for the jackpot light mod on the speaker panel? Does the led board get sandwiched in somehow?

Connector j134 is occupied. (Not sure with what)
Where would the connector go? J133 is free but the connector doesn’t match the pins.

Thanks

Thank you. 135 is caught up. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to go elsewhere or the cable needs to find a different spot. Also, the connector isn’t in line with the pins on 135. Do you perhaps a photo of the board and the connections? Much appreciated.

#10056 1 year ago
Quoted from JvdS:

It’s not gold is it?

Brass, but I call it gold

#10065 1 year ago
Quoted from AaronZOOM:

After the original plating became corroded, the previous owner of my IJ decided to "refresh" the wireforms by spray painting them gold.
What I inherited was a machine full of fine gold dust, and ugly flaking ball trails.
After stripping the paint and cleaning the corrosion they're nice and shiny now, but the thin brass plating has all but worn away on my wireforms. I've been thinking of refreshing the plating for years now.
The question is for IJ owners that have done this. How much did it cost you for the four habbitrail pieces? I'm starting to fish for quotes on prices, but I have no idea what's "fair," and I fear local specialty and automotive places are quoting fairly high. Not looking to do the rails, gun, or lockbar or anything. Just the wireforms.
Some people may suggest "Try sending to so-and-so in such-and-such state!" But being in Canada it is often not very practical to ship fragile and unwieldy items across borders. Any Canada-specific suggestions, though - feel free!
Thanks!

See my photos above from this past weekend. Got them done at pinball plating. I live in Israel and traveling across the world, they were packed well and made it just fine. Send in your part, have it exchanged and get the new ones shipped usually same day. I chose usps, and had it declared as a paint job for parts sent out - and paid no taxes.
I think total for in came to 400 odd usd including shipping which was 90 bucks all the way to the Middle East. Not sure precisely as I added some other items for other games in that order

Looking at purchasing the radcals from mirco, any issues with these?

Just installed mine on tz and wh2o and they were great to work with (ok a more talented person than I did most of the work), but it’s very forgiving and the result is great. Hoping to do my ij next. Took about two hours. Note that you do not need to remove the side rails…

Quoted from SiN13:

Do these apply on top of the existing art then? Probably the worst cosmetic issue on my table is the cabinet art, overall slightly faded, but way worse on one side of the back box. I've avoided addressing it cause it seems like a nightmare to deal with, and being up against other machines I don't notice it that often. It would be nice to address at some point.

Sure does. I also avoided… I had them lying around for about two years and then in one week, had them both done in 2 sessions. You do have to drill for all the bolts and flippers buttons, with the start and extra ball buttons having to precise and centered as those aren’t covered and by the flippers buttons and/or bolts.

Quoted from beltking:

I’m trying to decide between the regular radcals for wh20 or the mirrors. Kind of like mirrors. Have regular in Indy bc they don’t make mirrors. Thoughts?
[quoted image]

When I got mine two years back I didn’t notice the mirrored option, may not have been available yet or maybe I just missed them. But yea I noticed they’re not available for IJ. I am eyeing the ones for CV though…

I think I bought my IJ cabinet decals from Bay Area Amusements or Planetary Pinball several years ago. I had never installed them, but they got wet/damaged in storage. I’d like to replace them with the best available product. Are there any licensed cabinet decals available now or something equivalent to original? Thanks for any input!

Mirco does for sure… I don’t know how good they are but they’re licensed.

The piece of wood you 'had made' looks warped.

Yea I noticed that too. May have to with me carrying it Around on an adventure bike and the way I tied it on. Oh well, the whole back box needs a redo so this can work as a prototype till I sort it all out

#10469 1 year ago

Rad cals shipped yesterday. Can’t wait.

If you're outside of the us or eu, ordering here on pinside will get you free shipping anywhere. On micro’s website, price is the same, but you have to add reeealllly expensive shipping which makes it prohibitive in many cases.

#10471 1 year ago
Quoted from billsfanmd:

Is there a good video on applying rad Cals. Looking at an Indy with rough cab and bad fade

It’s much simpler than it looks. On Indy you also wouldn’t have to take the side rails off. Other than the start and extra ball buttons you don’t need to really make much effort with the holes either. Had my tz and wh2o done very recently, approx 2 hours for first timers and it came out just right imo

I’m trying to decide on wh20 regular or mirror rad cals. Prob stick to originals.

I ordered these before Mirrored was available, so I didn’t have options to choose from. Just had them lying around for two or three years before my mate and I decided we were up for the task. Don’t know why it’s not an option for IJ. One of the few.

#10487 1 year ago

Wonder what makes Indy’s prone to this. Mine had three! Just stuck it on my JD and took the good one from there

#10489 1 year ago

Still waiting on rad cals to arrive but in the meantime, that back box has a lot of work to do first. Also preparing my one off topper.
Notice the original color behind the hinges.
