New to the club, just purchased an IJ from Pinsider Cheeks. It's been about 16 years ago since I had one. Did a trade back then with my IJ and a T2 for a Monster Bash. Had less-than $2000 in both machines and the value of a MB was about $4500, so at that time it was a good trade for me. IJ at that time was going for about $2500 and always thought I could pick another one up, but waited too long as we all know prices on popular titles such as IJ has increased alot. Anyhow happy to be back and enjoying this title again.

Ricochet... Please add me to your list as I would also like one when they're available.

Thanks

Hello IJ owners. Just bought a PinSound board for my IJ. Went out to PinSound and wanted to down load Endprodukt zip file, but can't seem to find it. How do I get this sound file?

Oops, need to login first to PinSound.

Just got done today installing a IJ back box Jackpot Lighting kit. Was a bit of work to modify the new wood board and height of where the new light board so that I could reinstall my Color DMD. It turned out great!

Quoted from Williampinball:

Hi bud what is the light in between the two right side small lights ,should there be a light there ?

That is a reflection of a pop bumper lamp since the playfield was pulled out when I took the picture and the angle I took the picture at (blow up the picture and you can see the pop bumper). It's not really there.

Quoted from AaronZOOM:

I still have the bill of sale from mine. Everybody ready to feel terrible? I paid $2560 for mine waaaay back in 2001.
Edit: Oh, and that *included* shipping from New Jersey to Calgary.

I can do even better. Bought my first IJ in 2004 from an operator, wait for it......for $1400. Traded it off along with a T2 (didn't want to trade my IJ off, but got a Monster Bash for both). At that time I had less than 2k into both and a MB was selling for $4500. Always thought I could pick up another IJ as they were selling around $2500 at that time.
Waited way too long as the one I have now cost me $7800. Glad to have it back and it won't be leaving anytime soon.

There are still good deals out there from time to time. Last year I was offered the machines on photos below for a reasonable price - $2000 per piece in a package deal. The guy who was selling them got them for free. He had to clear the warehouse of the pins plus 50 touch screen games.

Wow, what a deal. Buy them all and sell one of the "A" titles and you paid for the complete lot. That purchase would be like a dream come true.

FYI ...getting through the backlog of Antidote customers. I'm pushing off folks that don't respond within 48 hours. Demand is high ... lots of people waiting ... bumping you doesn't mean you will not get one... just that it will be later on down the line.
I've no other way to get in contact with people other than private messaging on these forums, so if you are not actively checking your inbox... you may miss your slot.

Thanks for understanding

Quoted from spidey:

Further testing revealed the stutter occurs in test mode as well. So I believe that points to the bridge driver board (A-15946), correct? I also tested both the flipper optos and the POA optos in test mode with a piece of paper and didn't see any flakiness.

I have been having this same similar problem with my POA. Working on it yesterday and it appears that my problem is/was with the flipper opto's. That is, it wasn't the optos themselves, but the way the plastic broke the beam(s) and that the flipper button(s) push the plastic out far enough for the optos beam to be seen. Had to do some modifications, one needed the plastic ground down more so that the beam could be seen and the other had to heat and bend the plastic some. Once I did this and tested it many times continuously my POA did work very well.
Hope this suggestion works for you.....Mike

What I have done on my machines (Twilight Zone, CFTBL and TAF) that I have expanded too many mods/LED light strips and was having trouble with different power issues. I added a power expander board for WPC and WPC-95 games I purchased from My Pinballs https://mypinballs.com/electronics/store.jsp
Added a female plug to the inside of the cabinet that switches on/off with the cabinet switch and purchased a 120V transformer that you can select 12v DC out put as a power source. Bought from Amazon.
This board gives you the option and plugs for adding mods on safely and the separate power source separates them from the machine driver board. I mounted the expander board in the lower cabinet in the upper left side. Sorry for not posting pictures can't find them of this process and can't take new ones right now due to that all my machines are folded up for moving in the next month to our new home.

Prices seem to be selling somewhere between 12k and 14k which to me is crazy money. Most are more like average to good condition not fully restored. I just bought a really nice example from a Pinsider this year in March for $7800 which would sell so fast now at that price. Crazy to see the price jump over 5k if I sold it now.

Just recently helped a friend pick up a William's IJ for a great price, but it needs alot of help. I took these pictures of the idol gate during disassembly. Give the prevous owner creativity making it out of steel! This is just one of many interesting repairs they did to this machine.

Quoted from patje:

I mean, lights for this[quoted image]

I back lit my Addams Family with 2 led light strips 12v on a separate power source. Also did my Congo in a similar way.
I own this same plastic you have for my IJ and plain on doing this same thing to it.
To me it looks really cool and helps light up dark areas in the back of the playfield in the machines.

Quoted from patje:

That is what i was searching for, thank you. But do i have to put seperate power source if i do that?
And wow... very nice pinballs you have!!! I allso got an addams family, but yours is much nicer. Freat job

I did separate power source so that it doesn't over load the driver board. I didn't at first on my Addams Family and it would blow a fuse after awhile once the machine was turned on. It's just a better solution to separate them.

Trying to rejoin club. Owned this title 3 times back when they were 5k all day long... Never expected this. Prices are just too high. Patiently waiting for a motivated seller

I bought my first IJ back in 2004 for $1400 from an operator. Traded it off along with a T2 for a Monster Bash which was selling at that time for $4500. I had less than $2500 in both machines and thought good trade. Didn't want to trade the IJ off, but thought I'll find another one someday as they were selling at around 2k to $2500 at that time.
Moving head through the years IJ prices were really getting up there, so about 3 years ago pulled the trigger again and bought an IJ for $7800 from a Pinsider. A real nice collector's machine. That same machine would now sell for around 14k. Crazy prices, glad I bought when I did.
Good luck on your hunt as they are not cheap any longer.

If you replace the motor or not and the issue persists I would recommend looking at the optos on your flippers. They are what makes the mini playfield work left/right. I have found that intermittent issues can be caused by your flipper optos. Inexpensive items to try/replace.
Just a suggestion.
