Quoted from Pahuffman:Lol we do not speak of Crystal Skull...
Hahahaha! When I first watched it, I was disappointed. However, the more I watch it, I’m warming up to it. Can’t wait for 2021 and the next installment

You got that huh, which is also the reason there’s only 1 IJ pin that was ever released
A quick update for those that have been asking regarding the pop bumper caps. Here are the transparent versions in situ. I personally really like them, but it depends if you're going for the realistic ruins look or not. The material on these prints isn't ideal, but it seems good enough once in the pin.
I have one more material test to do for a solid 'rock grey' and 'stone brown'. After that I will open these up as 3 versions: Painted Ruins (highest cost), solid colour, transparent colours.
A bunch of you have already messaged me - I will get back to you all once I have the final material tests done, and am ready to output the different batches.
Thanks!
Quoted from RDReynolds:Alas, it’s time for me to sell my IJ. This one plays better than any I’ve ever tried. HUO for the last 20 years. I’ll miss it for sure.

Ah man, who is going to be the new IJ club owner then? You’ll be back
It's a great game, and mine plays way better than most I've played. It's so funny, for years I didn't like this game at all...because I never played one that was working PROPERLY! Once I did, I was totally hooked!

Your the OP, you can't leave the club!

Yeah, this is the most neglected pin I’ve ever seen. There’s one down the street which you can’t even make it up the ramp. I’m pretty sure mine will be the first I’ll play which is working. Same with my GNR, didn’t like it so much as all the ones I played didn’t work. One I got mine 100%, best Pin I’ve ever played
Quoted from Psw757:What kind of anti glare hd glass are you all using?
All of them are decent. I hear Invisiglass is good, but I use PDI. My opinion is that it’s just a tad bit clearer like the glass wasn’t even there
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:Your the OP, you can't leave the club!
Something tells me I'll be back some day.
If you’re in So Cal and need a good plating guy who does small runs for a good price, this is your man. Got my IJ & TOTAN done in the same batch. These are brass and he does gold as well.

Yes it is a tell, and that's why I posted the picture. However the strange part is the Automaticos Stamp. Which is Spanish. Trying to find out where this baby has been. Does the serial sticker reveal where it was imported? What does the NRI mean?

Thats interesting... I totally missed that... got hung up on the Vorsicht
Automaticos valls is a maker of arcade game furniture; your game was originaly made for Germany, but finaly headed to Spain (there was a lot of turn over during this period between Germany, France and Spain,). They probably used it for their location or as a dealer... who knows.

Thank for the info. It went to Spain about a year after it arrived in Germany. I notice that the bottom of the cabinet was lightly stained and the inside walls were painted black. Also the metal subway along with the play field lifts have been polished. I wonder if Automaticos did some of the cabinet work back in 1994? Can anybody tell if the cabinet decals are reproductions? I'm guessing they are. The coin door is USA. Also the lockdown bar has no decals. it's been polished.

Assume the coin door is replaced and someone polished up the
parts, staining done because of some light staining in bottom
of cabinet.
Black paint to hide normal wear and tear from playfield
lifting. I
don't see the typical serial decal on the front decal so
assume
it's replacement decals. They look good from the pics but
some
veterans will tell you who have done a lot of decals on
these.

Good point. I'm betting that Automaticos valls put the stain on the bottom of the cabinet back in 1994. It's only a guess though. Just don't know why anybody would do that or polish a metal subway.
I don't see a professional doing that, (taking too much time), I bet more from a collector much later and then bought back by a pro for an exchange for exemple... Anyways, good thing for you, it looks like in very good shape. Fisrt time I see the bottom stained...
Mine comes also from Spain.
Quoted from lanfeust:Fisrt time I see the bottom stained...

Yeah, I've never seen it either. Thanks, the game is in excellent shape. The playfield is flawless.
Thanks for your help
Quoted from WW2GURU:Some additions from Lior and Davi. Love this idol, so much better than the original.
[quoted image]
How does the idol look with the stock ruins? out of place or like it came from factory It does look cool.
I don’t mind the stock ruins but I have considered painting them to match. I find the detailed mods pull from the translite details and help blend the contrast between the playfield the two already have.
If anyone missed out on Davis airball protectors and want to make a their own quick. I used the old plastic from the upper left trough and overlayed it with a new hole. It worked quite well for reducing airballs. I went from several hitting the glass to zero. It’s not as strong and doesn’t cover the exact area but it improves gameplay quite a bit. Here’s a side by side comparison

Anybody able to track Indypinhead down for these drop targets? I hit him up and didn’t hear anything
Quoted from PappyBoyington:I'm guessing this is one of those unused connectors as everything seems to be working fine? Am I right?[quoted image]
Do you have a colordmd installed?
If so, that looks like the power connector to old display.

No color DMD installed

That *looks* like J133, especially the colour scheme, but the connector might have burned out and has been replaced. I can just make out what looks like a modified/new J133 connector in the picture. J133 is mostly red/other colour cables.

Do your backbox flashers work? J106 possibly? Are any keyed?
Heads up if you are planning on buying the Marcos planes, the green one is total garbage. The white plane isn’t bad but your better off buying the modded ones. Fan of Marcos generally but this looks like a kindergartener painted it while playing with a kitten.
I put the originals for comparison

Send it back, or have it custom painted.[quoted image]
Damn - is that the custom Marcos painted? Looks awesome!. The original actually has grooves in the body and cockpit is defined, the mold of Marcos really took shortcuts so curious if that's a Marcos painted.
Ive seen another thread where people have been buying 1/48 scale ww2 model planes and throwing those in. Curious if anybody has had any luck with that

Time to breakout those old Testor paints! I don’t think I had a GI Joe that I didn’t paint up when I was a kid.
