Quoted from Ricochet:

I would not think a GI bulb would cause resets. GI is powered by a completely different winding on the transformer. It may have been one too many for the GI circuit load… or they quite simply omitted it in error on the final assembly drawings.

Some people in here theorized it might have interfered with the optical switch for the captive ball. I've put a LED in there and there is a light blocker on the optical switch and I haven't had any issue with that. Incandescent bulbs might have been a different story.

Will do.
Thanks to everyone who responded. Any measurements of any of the holes will work but didn’t want anyone to have to take the gun off so the measurements to the side and top of the gun as its bolted to the cabinet will be all that I need.
I should be good off zigs drawings he sent for the other “gun” plunger games.
edit: Got what I needed and I am all set. Thanks again everyone

Drawings zig sent me awhile back are slightly different than an IJ I believe so looking for new measurements. Would someone be willing to measure the distance of the IJ gun handle from the side and top of the cabinet?

The gun bezel is 0.75” from the side and 0.875” from the top. I measured the distance from the top edge on the corner of the gun bezel as it is not a perfectly flat edge … it’s pitched a bit where the two halves come together. There will be some slight variation from unit to unit.

Interesting theory… interesting because the state of that opto is normally open (emitter blocked by the ball).

I added it back with my restore… and am using LEDs as well.

Well these have been years in the making but they are finally completed and installed. When KornFreak28 started selling his creations, I thought to myself, I can do that. When I started seeing what he was creating I changed my mind and put myself on his waiting list. Ultimately I thought it was too expensive for me but his planes are worth every penny.
With inspiration from KornFreak28's planes, I started the process of building the models, designing and 3D printing the extra parts needed, (Dr Jones Sr was the most challenging) adding LEDs and painting. I don't know how KornFreak28 does it, these were a lot of work. Getting the little motors for the props positioned just right took some time. Then came adding all the LEDs, there is one in the fighter's cockpit, two red ones under the wings and two in the cowling. Dr Jones Sr also has 2 red pica Leds in his gun.
I decided I was going to use a relay to control the spinning of the props, this was the one I decided on https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085TL38NH Like KornFreak28's, I used the ruins flasher to trigger the relay. Next up is to get the wire forms plated.

I'm getting this error, "open coin door to use buttons." When I do open the coin door, the black Test button doesn't work.

Check the wires in and out of the coin door controller. I’d check the coin door board inside the cabinet. Reseat connectors check the board? Totally guessing but that’s where I would look first.

Thanks, that worked! (Just reseating the connectors)

For the # A-16113 Gun Handle Assembly in Indy, is the # 02-4547 Button Head Fastner 1/2" (3) just a #10-32 bolt barrel (aka binding bolt, sex bolt) that is 1/2" long (length under the head)? This seems to be a match, albeit a very expensive one:

Is there a final wizard mode? I'm planning on spending some time trying to progress through and beat the game. I've only ever just played for fun and score (bc the game is awesome!). But I'd like to see if I can't get to the end.

What should I expect if I get there?

The wizard mode happens when you complete all 12 modes (you just need to have started each one, you don't have to have successfully completed it, i.e. you don't have to successfully escape from the mines, or collect all the stones, or cross the rope bridge, etc.).

When you enter wizard mode, it kicks out all six balls, the ball saver turns on for a limited time, and your final task is to hit every switch and target on the playfield (including the mini playfield) for a final billion-point bonus. Common wisdom is to try and get up on the mini playfield as soon as possible while the ball save is active so you can focus on the tilting Path of Adventure.

This is spot on for the final Wizard. But this pin has so much more. Besides the 12 modes and Final Wizard, there are also the Multiball jackpots which light up each symbols from the 3 movies (Ark, Stones,Grail) which unlock super jackpots if you can get that far. There’s also the quick 2 ball mini wizard which you need to get all 5 symbols (not easy) which spots 40MIL bonus every hit, You have the friends mini game which you collect all the friends on the playfield which leads to a jackpot, Path of adventure which unlocks extra ball & a 50MIL bonus. There’s too much to list. So if you’re just going for the Final Wizard you’re only playing part of the game. Here’s a list of rules. Most importantly, Have fun!

Yeah that's one of the best things about this game. You can play it from/for so many angles with so many different goals. It's amazing to think it's so packed and well coded from the 90s! Pretty cool.

I will read that rules sheet. I didn't know pretty much any of what you mentioned! Hahaha

I had to cut the body and lid in half to fit on the printer, then glued together and sanded afterwards. Stone textured spray was the MVP of the build, it looks really sketchy during application but the final result looks pretty slick!

Quoted from Ecw0930:

I just read through this. Where are the 3 jackpots? Ark, Stones, Grail.

You collect these jackpots during regular multiball. After you lock three balls and start 3-ball multiball, a shot up the left ramp or into the center hole lights the jackpot at the right ramp. Hitting the lock hole again can double, and then triple the jackpot amount for a limited time. You collect by hitting the right ramp. Once you've collected all three, you light Super Jackpot at the captive ball, which is again not one but three jackpots for the Ark, Stones & Grail that you can collect in succession.

It's really satisfying - John Rhys-Davies really gave it his all recording "SUPER JACKPOT!!!"

Note that when multiball ends, any artifacts you've collected carry over to your next multiball, except for the Super versions. Fail during Super Jackpot mode, and the whole thing starts again at the beginning.

I just read through this. Where are the 3 jackpots? Ark, Stones, Grail.

Others have described these 3 jackpots, however there is a 4TH jackpot - Loop Jackpot

This could also be called a 'Friends Jackpot' and is scored in the following manner: Light all friends from
the INDY rollovers (lit Friends are denoted by a flashing light between the slingshots), shoot lit loops to
light each Friend solidly (as opposed to flashing) then shoot the right ramp to collect the jackpot. Scoring
is the total of all lit loops collected before the Jackpot is collected, to a maximum of 200M. The base at the
start of the game is 5M. If you fail to collect the Loop Jackpot before the end of the ball when you light it,
both the Friends and the Loop Jackpot value are reset (value becomes 0M).

Note: If the right ramp is lit for Multiball jackpot and Friends jackpot, one hit will collect both but only
the animation for Friends is displayed

BTW. Fun Fact. I once went to John Rys-Davies wiki and was surprised to see his voice acting section didn’t include his voice work for this Superpin, so I decided to submit it and it was added.

It now reads “ Rhys-Davies voice was recorded for some of the callouts in the 1993 Williams SuperPin Indiana Jones: The Pinball Adventure.[25]”

All my dreams and goals have finally come true!!!!!! i didnt think this day would ever arrive but it has and its glorious!!!!!!! Ive gotten my holy grail, not the one in the game, don't even know how to do that, but I've gotten my holy grail pinball and im sooooooooo excited, its seriously a dream come true; i feel like a little kid again. I am brand new here now, Im looking at photos and reading through stuff. I have no idea what the lost plastic is but im pretty sure I already have it, I have no idea how the narrow escape actually works, but it seems awesome. and wow is the upper playfield borderline impossible. I have no idea why people are having so many issues with ball ejects. and something about lighting up my speakers and my score panel. and I need to get an actual propelled plane and wow are those gold plated guns cool looking and on my gosh do i need to get anti glare stuff now and voodoo glass now and there is just sooooooo much stuff and soooo fun!!!!! wow im so excited to finally have this pin and to be here. Thank you and goodnight!!!!!!!

#11892 11 days ago

Welcome to the club! The lost plastic is the one at the very back of the playfield. If it’s black then it’s not there. Narrow escape is a timed nudge. With practice you’ll rarely drain on the right. The Indy Plane Rescue Service is an amazing mod. It’s. superpin, so might take a bit to get it 100% but once dialed in it stays working. And on this pin, I didn’t skimp and get Voodoo, it’s PDI on this puppy. Voodoo is good, but on the pins bolted it’s only PDI. Good luck and have fun!

holy crap!!!! you have to actually nudge to make it happen? I didnt think any machine wanted you to nudge, wow ok, ya I am like the worst tilter ever so Ill certainly start trying to figure that out, I think that little switch pushed it to the left or something, thanks so much for the info. I already looked through every photo on here and wow do people have some beautiful machines!!!!! slowly but surely Im going to try and read up as much as i can, but with 238 pages i dont think that will ever truly happen. I do have the lost plastic so thats cool. Im going to start looking for the airplane mod for sure and then Im going to be downloading that guys pdf so I can make the 3 items light up on the speaker panel. oh and then i saw another mod that lights up the multi ball totem dude that looked cool. and then maybe pinsound some day, wow that would be sweet.... and then I know everyone says color dmd but I really like the old school look of the current screen, maybe if it ever dies then ill go color...and then finally i thought all the fancy glasses where basically the same so I was just going to go with the one I had heard of ha ha. This is bolted to my floor no matter where my floor goes thats for sure!!!!! Even the wife said "never sell this one, dont care what you get offered" ha ha. so ya PDI whatever that is, here i come. thanks!

I would choose pinsound and a colordmd above all the other mods you mentioned.

You'll enjoy the sound and the display much more often than you'll ever look at the backboard or the planes propellor.

Everyone who is good and knows what they are doing, sadly that is not me but someday. I did always assume it was a cheat or a I guess a tactic, but I thought big pinball was against it. My apologies.

Quoted from punkin:

I would choose pinsound and a colordmd above all the other mods you mentioned.
You'll enjoy the sound and the display much more often than you'll ever look at the backboard or the planes propellor.

I understand what you mean on the sound, when I played guardians of the galaxy I liked listening to the music more than anything on the game, even the game itself ha ha. But the color dmd just doesn't do it for me. I don't know there's something about the current colors of the dmd that are almost a gold color that I feel like match the game and cabinet perfectly... but maybe I'll come around at some point...maybe. i do think the color dmd is really much better on most games, i just dont see it on this one..... yet ha ha. as for the sound ya I'll certainly do that at some point especially with all the cool sound mods and stuff but for now I'm loving the old school music too, makes me feel like I've traveled back in time, has that sweet nostalgia feel but I'll certainly come around to pinsound once that wears off for sure. As for the propeller actually moving, that's pretty frigging cool!!! I'm just saying ha ha.

That’s why this was invented. Nudging is allowed in all tournaments. Never heard of it not being allowed

Sorry I meant like when pinball originally came out, I just always thought it was not allowed but people got away with it anyways and then they added those to keep people from going buck wild. But ya I surrender my complete point on this one. I still think it's soooo cool that indy actually wants you to nudge in order to get the narrow escape though, so surprising and so cool and such a unique little trick to have in a game.
