They are all children's toys?

No, there are a variety of items detailed in the Disney blog link.

This is probably the last time we'll get a flood of new Indy merch like this. I remember last time in 2008 when it was everywhere for Crystal Skull. Better enjoy it while it lasts!

I personally decided to treat myself to the big Lego set:

Yeah gotta enjoy it while it lasts, was a similar vibe when Tron Legacy came out. I picked up that Lego set as well but haven’t put it together yet.

There was a nice "light jackpot" mod made already based on the Staff of Ra headpiece.
(2 versions of this mod were made by Pinsider Jazzbouche - see posts 9231 and 9462 in this thread.)

I 1000% agree on this mod. Very well made, nice price and it fits perfectly over the already existing plastic piece and it just looks fantastic in the game.

Yeah I'd keep an eye out, there are several idol products coming out soon of varying size, quality, and price. Though that one is probably the best one for the price.

Been meaning to ask this for a while, what is this part circled in red on the right speaker and what is it for? I’m guessing it’s a capacitor on the line used to condition the signal or cut down on line noise or something but I have no idea. The reason I bring it up is that the lead on the left is not soldered to the metal ring screwed into the speaker panel that the black wire is soldered to, it just rests against it. Is that the normal installation or should both ends be soldered to their respective connecting parts?

Low pass filter “bass blocker”-ish for that speaker. It should be connected in-line with the speaker. One side soldered (or crimped) to the harness wire and the other to the speaker… regardless of how it’s connected … it should be a solid connection.

Anyone looking for a Pin2DMD for Indy? My customer decided to go LCD and I now have a brand new spare that is activated and ready to go along with power cable. $315 shipped. Thanks!

I put a Pinsound Rocket CPU in my Indy and now it won't boot. Does anyone know what the jumper settings should be for this board? I have the Country selection correct (W11&W12 off, W13-W18 on) but I'm not sure about the Jumpers (W1-W8)

Thanks

Rad cals shipped yesterday. Can’t wait.

If you're outside of the us or eu, ordering here on pinside will get you free shipping anywhere. On micro’s website, price is the same, but you have to add reeealllly expensive shipping which makes it prohibitive in many cases.

Is there a good video on applying rad Cals. Looking at an Indy with rough cab and bad fade

It’s much simpler than it looks. On Indy you also wouldn’t have to take the side rails off. Other than the start and extra ball buttons you don’t need to really make much effort with the holes either. Had my tz and wh2o done very recently, approx 2 hours for first timers and it came out just right imo

It’s also a good idea to snip the top corners off under the lock bar (see pic), so the bar doesn’t put pressure on the Radcal.

I ordered these before Mirrored was available, so I didn’t have options to choose from. Just had them lying around for two or three years before my mate and I decided we were up for the task. Don’t know why it’s not an option for IJ. One of the few.

Suggestion: Be sure to paint the cab & head before installing RadCals. They are somewhat transparent and will show original artwork thru them if you don't.

Also, I highly recommend this 1/8" flush cut router bit for button holes, shooter assembly vs. using a razor knife. I put it in my Dremmel tool and its clean & simple. You'll Thank me later.

He’s right. Painting the cab and head a solid color first is wise. And I finally bought this router bit. I wish I had it for my previous Radcal projects.

Want to share some pics of my new Indy. After a 3 year hiatus, rejoined the club for awhile with this beauty restored by Chris at High End Pins. It’s one of those early models with the chrome POA rails. My 4-year-old likes it because he can get multiball pretty easily. I traded my first Indy too quickly and never explored the modes or reached the wizard mode. Hope to this time!

no I dont think so. I turned the buy in off on my machine. Because unlike TZ there isnt a separate scoring table for buy in games. So if you just buy in and get the GC or on the leader board that is kinda lame IMO.

#10484 1 year ago
Quoted from SiN13:

Right, different cabinet. It’s still in the rules, but you can turn it off. My TZ has the buy-in button. Early Indy did not.

I’ve been wondering about this for awhile, my lockdown bar on my Indy has 2 carriage bolts in it that hold the metal latches on the backside. I’ve never seen another Indy table with this. Is this a lockdown bar from another machine or did someone modify this one to reinforce the attachment of those parts?

Still waiting on rad cals to arrive but in the meantime, that back box has a lot of work to do first. Also preparing my one off topper.
Notice the original color behind the hinges.

I saw what could be a burn mark. Just wanted to point it out in case it’s helpful. Good luck applying the RadCals!

Yep, he sure did. In a long YouTube series. The game he started with was pretty rough, so he basically had to build one from scratch. He did a first rate job.

Quoted from Sheev_Palpatine:

No prob. It’s a bit simple, but I like it. I’m not typically a big topper guy. Here’s one with the entire backbox. I’ll take another with the entire game.
