Let us use this virtual space to extoll the greatness that is Indiana Jones
I'll start. I hated this game for years, due to playing crappy on location games. Years later, I played a perfect one at a collector's house and realized how awesome it is.
Has anyone actually gotten all 12 of the modes in one game? I've never even come close...
Got all modes several times, but never got the billion for hitting all of the targets at the end. Awesome game when dialed in, great theme!
Love mine, and getting it back from SEVERAL catastrophic board injuries tomorrow(after 3 months!)....lesson learned never boot up your machine when its plugged into the same line as the battery charger on for your car.....cant' wait to play it. ColorDMD! if you are looking for next title take this one(and HS2 - Getaway), so much to work with...
Never got all 12 but I'm finally about to dive into fixing my start mode scoop so it will be more reliable. I still love the game, finally got over 1 Bil for the first time a few weeks back.
I've gotten the 12 modes 5 or 6 times in one game but I've never gotten the Billion points. I've come close to getting those billion points, I just had to get one lane on the Path of Adventure and I would have completed the Wizard Mode. At least 3 times I've only had that one lane on the Path of Adventure.......................the horror...........the horror..............

I still have much to accomplish on this pin. Only last week did I finally hear "The Fish of Tales". Glad I didn't sell it.

Holy crap! Glass on or off 60-70 modes in one game (without the benefit of stacking) must have taken hours. I'm impressed- how open are your outlanes?
Question for other IJ owners ... the only thing I find a bit frustration with IJ is the very short stroke on the flippers. It really feels like the flippers are restricted so much during play ... like it would be a much faster (and more enjoyable) pin if the flippers were just snappier and extended further up. It would be easier to cradle a ball and the overall control of the ball would seem so much better. Anyone mod their IJ for better flipper power and stroke?

Let me know how that goes. I really need to tweak mine a bit as well, looking for the best way.
First time I got to eternal life multiball I had one switch to go - one of the I N D Y rollovers.
I was new to the hobby and didn't realize that you could toggle which one was lit with the flippers.
Strangely enough, the hardest shot in the game for me would be either orbit. I can never hit em when I want to.

Might want to check you EOS, might be incorrect or something else... Post a couple pictures of your flipper assembly with the flipper in the return position and end of stroke.

I adjusted the EOS. I suspect this is more of a stroke issue (how far the flipper extends up) versus flipper power. I'll have to take a pic of an active flipper and compare with others.
BTW ... anyone do an LED mod to make the fighter LEDs have more punch? I didn't notice they were even there until recently when I was running an individual light check.
I got the billion the second time I made ELM. Been there once since then and didn't get come close (no upper pf). I generally play for modes and avoid ball locks unless the dogfight hurry up is active. That keeps multiball spread out and doesn't spoil the fun by over playing it. Also really love the 2-ball captive ball mode. Never gotten all the awards but I'm pretty sure I got 5 or 6 once. I've also racked up some big points hitting orbit combos, which is hard to believe considering how tight the orbits are. Only thing is sometimes you get software bugs like if you've completed Path of Adventure too many time and then you start The 3 Challenges, the target rotates through the mini pf and makes it nearly impossible to get even one. I also extended the timer on some modes so I actually have a shot at completing them, considering this game is notorious for playing "keep away" with your flippers. Confession, I'm less than 50% completing Mine Cart, but I'm getting better at it.
By the way, the Super Jackpot callout is one of the best voicecalls in pinball.
Frog Bonus:VERY cool. I've done it a couple times, but have to look up the sequence before I attempt it.
Quoted from wolfy:I have made it to the wizard mode about 4 -5 times and scored the Billion once finishing all the shots. It was the best feeling ever in pinball. This game is a top 5 all time and the best quest of any game out there. Here was my total score -

Wolfy - I know there is the "BILLION!!!" call out - but is there anything else?
Is there a light show or anything? I've gotten to Wizard Mode on my about 4 or 5 times but never won.
IJ '93 is my one and only Pinball machine as of now! I love this machine - played in nearly 2K times. Looking into getting a TZ or MMR sometimes next year. Here are some pictures I took of mine for the thread!

Sorry, I need to clarify, the 5 or 6 times were all separate games not all in one game. If that happened....... well, I would be truly the greatest ever. The truth is that I am not.

Sigh, I'm pissed now...

Whoa! That's a beauty!
Let's talk crazy bounces...as this machine (at least mine!) seems to supply 'em in bulk!
Just had one a bit ago that popped off the drop target in front of the captive ball that popped into a "You Cheat, Dr. Jones!" lock! Not even sure how that was physically possible. What wacky ones have you had?
I had a cool bounce off of a drop target, that went up in the air and landed perfectly right over the ruins into the idol lock. It was so perfect, like it was meant to happen, but I've never seen it again.
Quoted from jayhawkai:What do you mean by OEM?
Original Equipment Manufacturer.
I also believe the original cabinets were wrapped in vinyl, then had the art directly screen printed on (i.e., it's not printed on primed wood). So an OEM decal would be the same, just screened to the vinyl, minus the cabinet. So you're not missing out, no real benefit to original in this case.
Maybe someone who knows for certain can chime in.
I traded my IJ for a MB about 12 years ago. It was a good deal, but I missed the IJ. I was lucky enough to locate another this year for a very reasonable amount (by today's standards). So I'm back in the club! When do I learn the secret handshake?
And the trade all those years ago included me shopping 6 games for the guy as well. He paid for parts so I still made out pretty well.
Quoted from CASTHOF:Who else would be in for a Color DMD for IJ? I know I would! All the different modes! It would give STTNG a run for it's money.
I'm thinking it's coming some day ... But they'll be working overtime to create it. So many modes ... So many animations.
Quoted from CASTHOF:Who else would be in for a Color DMD for IJ? I know I would! All the different modes! It would give STTNG a run for it's money.
insert an image of 'Take My Money!'
A request ... Can someone post a picture from above of their flippers when flipped? I want to see how far they extend up. Mine seem barely able to cradle a ball.
Thanks!
Should also note that you CAN cradle on mine, but the ball has to be rolling pretty slowly to do it. I thought they designed it that way, but I could be wrong.

That about explains mine. I'm thinking there's gotta be a mod. Just a bit more range would be so much better. Thanks for snapping the pic!
