Yes I found this too when I did my restore its a white plastic stand up under the plastic with a screw in post with a nut on it too hold the plastic on ,it's like the left side of PF there's two of them that holds the plastics on or one for sure ,my was missing also so I did the same as the left side did hope this helps
I have looked through the internet for "Indiana Jones playfield restoration" but this post/plastic stand is not seen on any pictures... strange.
I wonder if this was never mounted from factory.

Yes I thought the same thing ,I thought it was never put it because even where the screw in post screws in was never used
Quoted from Ricochet:Williams reference #03-8371
I don’t believe it was ever installed at the factory
No it wasn't ever installed in the factory I guess it got missed somehow
I’ve noticed a lot of this on many swaps. Sometimes it seems obvious that maybe it’s hard to access on location but other times like this it seems like there’s no excuse.
Mine doesn’t have it either BTW.

Nope, my unrestored IJ is missing it too. Oh well.

Ya I think it got missed with all of them ,the upper left side has it there so I did the same on the right and it worked well it's the same parts needed
Could be omitted on purpose … probably put in there during the design phase then realized they don’t really need it because the piece is stable without it…
Or put the hole in the plastic but omitted the playfield pre-punch…
Or could have been an oversight during the assembly process…
either way … I wouldn’t let it keep you up at night
