Indiana Jones: The Pinball Adventure
Williams, 1993I am getting an Error code that says “ER. Single drp bad. Check switch/coil”
I assume that is the single drop target in the back. All wires to the solenoid and the switch are intact. The switch registers in the switch test.
In the solenoid test the #3 totem drop up and the #16 totem drop down both function correctly.
Ideas?

In Tests - Switch Edge - does the correct switch register on the screen ?
You might compare it's wiring to other micro switches in the game. White wire and black end of the diode to a lug, green wire to a lug, silver band end of the diode to a lug. Wiring is the same on every switch in the game.
The error is from the switch. Working in test should clear it. Worst case scenario you might try a factory reset.

So yes as you can see from the photo the correct switch is registering. You can also see that the switch appears to be wired correctly. The game has been working fine until today and I haven’t moved any switches so I assume switch wiring would not be the problem.

That looks right. One thought before a factory reset. The green wires with brown stripe. I would check the other switches using the same color wire to be sure you don't have a broken wire or poor connection.

The CPU will flag any playfield switch than hasn't been operated in 30 games I think it is?
That diode looks like its very close to shorting out on the plate?
Yes, 30 games played or 90 balls played, whichever occurs first.
