Quoted from ifpapinball:It's also optional at the player level for those TD's that wish to offer that opt-in/out for their events. For example the TD decides to run an IFPA endorsed event, offering the players a chance to not "officially" participate but rather simply play for casual fun. In the results submitted to the IFPA those unofficial players are removed, and there's no $1 fee associated with their participation.
Won't this just allow players to game the system? Unless there are strictly policed rules about the timing of money collection, many players could decide whether or not to be included in the official results based on their performance. Probably not a huge problem at major events, but many smaller competitions can be pretty casual with that kind of thing.
