    Quoted from Pinball-is-great:

Looked through the list of competitors in some states to see how many "out-of-staters" decided to play in a state championship tournament in a state other than their home state.
    Kansas, (6) from MO

Real number is 9 who live in MO, 7 in KS. 14 out of the 16 live in the Kansas City metropolitan area, one from Lawrence, KS and one from Columbia, MO. I imagine the total travel time of the sixteen will be among the shortest of all state championship events. The KS event is stongly supported by the locals. The location is about one mile from the MO state line and there are no quality locations to play in KCMO, hopefully that will change soon.

What's the story with Tennessee? Events during the year but no tracking and no SCS?

My recommendation: Wisconsin director polls all active interested parties in Wisconsin:

Should the state of Wisconsin secede from the IFPA State Championship Series. A vote yes means that WI can hold any style tournament that they wish to declare their state champion with whatever entry fee and payout they desire. They can provide their own trophy, or not. A vote no means that the event remains supported by the IFPA, the winner or runner up is eligible to attend the national championship event, the entry fee is $20 per player and $100 of the total entry fees goes directly to the prize pool of the nation championship event.

    Quoted from LOTR_breath:

    Alabama top 4:
    Chris Warren(that's me)
    Tim Street
    Travis Bender
    Bill Miller
Our tourney ran from 10:30 AM to 6:30PM with only a 45min. break for lunch. Long fun day!
Last match went the full 7 games. Was decided on the 7th game, last ball, on Eight Ball of all games! Timmy will be representing Alabama in Las Vegas!

Man, I'm being ducked already. So much for doing a bunch of research on your strengths/weaknesses in advance of our matchup. (Congratulations on the win).

Josh - What time does the US Nationals start on 3-26? What day/time is the Flippin' with the Greats final?

How'd the ECS go? I don't recall seeing anything on it.

So, did any other state champions struggle their way to the win as much as I did?

    Round 1: 2 vs 15 4-2
    Round 2: 2 vs 7 4-3
    Round 3: 2 vs 3 4-3
    Round 4: 2 vs 1 4-2
