Ok but the real question is which would you prefer: the Krull Glaive or the Krull Pinball??
Quoted from ezelljon:Ok but the real question is which would you prefer: the Krull Glaive or the Krull Pinball??
Krull the pin.
The Glaive is just such an impractical and ridiculous looking weapon.

It was the coolest weapon when I was 10.....

I only became aware of Krull a few years ago when I got into pinball

Hbo played the crap out of it when i was a kid.....its soooo bad.
Quoted from ForceFlow:Heh, well, I want to make sure everything with the purchase goes through ok first. The Prop Store said invoices would go out within 24 hours of the auction's end. So, once that happens, I'll share
I may be listing a few pin items for sale, and maybe a project game or two soon to help recoup some of the cost.
Haven't you paid already?
Every recent auction I've been to you couldn't sign up without giving them your CC.
I can't wait to hear about what Forceflow bought.
I want to get good deals on film props so my plan is to produce my own film .....
.... gulp.
Shouldn't cost me much more than an Indiana Jones Fedora .
Double gulp.....
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Haven't you paid already?

Nope, haven't paid yet.
They have the CC info. I guess they handle it a little bit differently since all the lots are pretty much all fairly high value items. Can you imagine if they tried to charge a half million dollars to the bidder's CC who won the fedora? Yikes.
So, what they do is send an invoice with 7 days to pay in full or work out a payment/layaway plan.
Quoted from ForceFlow:Highlander sword: £10,000 ($13,237.09)

That item is cool as heck! Wow!
Quoted from TigerLaw:That item is cool as heck! Wow!
There were a few other highlander swords and a costume:
https://propstoreauction.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/138/?page=1&key=highlander&cat=&xclosed=no
I thought the costume looked a little odd without arms, though. It probably would have looked better with mannequin arms installed on the display.
The other swords were neat too.
Oh wow, I just noticed that the Fasil Hero Toledo Salamanca Sword didn't sell--even thought it had a bid of £14k I wonder how much the reserve was on that one.

Well, I for one am glad I did not know this was going on...not saying I would have bid on it but the temptation for Duncan’s sword from the series would have grabbed me.
Looks like there is a PDF available of the auction catalog: https://content.propstore.com/auction/la2018/pdf/EMLA2018_2.pdf
And the estimated value for Fasil's sword was 15k-20k.

Well, according to the movie it was worth $3 mill so perhaps the reserve was not met.

haha, I forgot about that detail--I haven't seen the highlander movies in ages.
Thank you, i feel much better.
Quoted from ForceFlow:Prices at the prop store auction today are completely bonkers.
Buyer's premium is 23%.

I sold the original oil painting of Dirk Diggler from the movie Boogie Nights a couple years ago to a prop collector. I needed a quick $3000 cash to purchase a gorgeous Austin Powers. Sad to see it go, but I basically got a free game out of the deal.
Quoted from ForceFlow:Well, I ended up putting in a bid on something and won it. What have I done...lol. I'll share details after it becomes official.
its gotta be c3po's ass
Its all about perspective.
There are plenty of hobbies that make pin collecting look cheap (art and high end cars come to mind).
Yet there are a ton of collectibles fields where the value of the rarest items in that genera will not even come close to buying a pin.
Thats one of the great things about collecting is that there are neat things to collect that fit pretty much every budget.
Ive been involved in coin collecting my entire life.
There are really interesting coins you can collect for next to nothing.
Yet, there are several really rare coins worth multiple millions of dollars.
Quoted from ForceFlow:Alright, the invoice is in--looks like it's official now!
I got the Stargate Universe space suit.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
That thing is over 6ft tall. Yikes!
I'm gonna guess $8,000 all in as it's TV not a movie.
It's a funny thing winning an auction like this. The last thing you expected when you woke up yesterday is that you'd own the Stargate space suit. And yet here you are...drowning in emotions of excitement, fear, regret, anxiousness...it's gonna be ok man!

I got two TV Props from the show Community. (By the Rick & Morty folks..)
Why? Because the show made me and my (now ex-) wife laugh. It's nice having a piece of memorabilia from ths show.

Which ones?! Loved Community
Quoted from jayhawkai:Which ones?! Loved Community
From the Space Simulator episode ("Those aren't thumbs..."), I have the set of the small, hand-held school flags that were waved by the crowd as the KFC simulator drives up, and the larger fabric flag used when the dead shows off the new school logo.
