Quoted from pinzrfun:

Will they be comparable to where EMs are now?

I hope so. I’ve seen EM prices shoot up since I’ve started collecting.

Quoted from briyau15:

Depending on your mortgage and tolerance for the long term returns on the market it may make sense to instead put that extra principal into, say, an index fund and let sit to get a better return that would cover your mortgage interest. Easy to say, harder to do when market not showing positive results (although when market is bad then theoretically better time to by). Multiple factors at play in this decision though like runway and risk tolerance. Sure there are other tax implications that we don’t need to dive into.

Yep. Just for reference, I had a windfall in 2006 (company buyout), and I used it to pay off my 3.5% mortgage. In hindsight, it was a mistake, even considering the Great Recession a few years later. If I’d put it all in S&P500, I’d probably be retired by now.

Quoted from Pinplayer1967:

I would buy commodities. Precious metals, guns, ammunition, prepper stuff for the upcoming apocalypse.

It’s time to rewatch this comedy classic. “You don’t shoot a man’s gun!!”
