I'm not asking for advice I wanted to see what pins are mentioned the most times.

    I have these stipulations
    - one must be Wide Body
    - one must be a Stern pin since 1999
    - one must be an older pin from any manufacturer prior to year 1999

Figure prices of total $30K with very good or HUO or new condition. Meaning TZ $6000-ish. LotR or Tron or SM $5000-ish. Maybe PotC low-mid $4's.

It's flexible but you don't want to figure the lowest price you've seen, but more like typical and if it's a game like Tron you'd like $600 in mods figure that into price.

The idea is if you pick lower price pins like T2 or BOP rather than MM and MB you could buy another pin or 2. I say no more than 6 total so you don't go picking 12 cheap pins. Ideally this is for 4-5 pins with an average price of $5500.

If you live in Australia or EU figure whatever higher number would translate to $30K US so if AU it's more like $35k

For what it's worth the average new car price last year was ~$31k

    #2 4 years ago

    I'll start

Wide body and prior to 1999:
    -TZ $6000

    -IM VE with shaker $4800
    -Tron with mods $5600
    -AcDc premium with mods $6000
    -XM LE $5500
    - some cheap game like T2 or BOP $2100

    #3 4 years ago

Only 3 you need with 10k+ left over
    TZ
    Iron man vault
    Funhouse

    #5 4 years ago

    I'll jump in on this.

    - (Stern Post 1999) AC/DC Premium (loaded) - $6K
    - (Wide Body) Haunted House - $2K
    - (Prior to 1999) The Addams Family - $5.5K
    - Monster Bash $9K
    - Johnny Mnemonic $2.4K
    - F-14 Tomcat $1.8

    #6 4 years ago

    Sorry stipulations

Listing prices will get people in a shit show fight cause some ass hat will be way to high or way to low and this will turn into a fighting thread lol

    #8 4 years ago

    MM
    Haunted House
    LOTR
    SS
    TRON
    STTNG

    That's true.

Also I'm not saying what you paid for the game like if you paid $5800 for Tron LE or $3000 for TZ back in the day, just figure what they are selling for now.

    #10 4 years ago

    Cirqus Voltaire. 7000.
The only wide-body pin I like is Judge Dredd. You're stuck with that. 1400. (2300 )
    Spiderman. 5000.
    White Water. 4000.
    Whirlwind. 2400.
    TSPP. 4500.

    $25,200.

Spend the last 4800 on a nice jukebox, some neons, dual drivers to round out your arcade.

    #11 4 years ago

    But
    - (Stern Post 1999) Metallica le $7500
    - (Wide Body) wizard of oz le $8500
    - (Prior to 1999) The Addams Family $5500
    - attack from Mars $7k
    - I'm leaving $1500 for navl shipping cross country but if u got them all local
    - t2 $1500

    #12 4 years ago

    Hmmm, good head scratcher...

    Stern - 1999 & up - AC/DC Premium w/ mods - $6K
Wide Body - Williams Indiana Jones - $6K
    Pre-1999 - Medieval Madness (or MMr LE) - $9K
    Metallica Pro w/ mods - $4.5k
    Funhouse - $3k
    Cyclone - $1.5k

*edit - I guess MMr LE isn't "pre-1999", my bad.

    #13 4 years ago

    AC/DC Premium 5.8-6
    WOZ 6.5-7
    MMR LE 8
    FH 3
RFM/SWE1 3.5 for both if you are patient 4k if you are not

With 2k for shipping, pingulps, or an Escalera if your gameroom is upstairs

All of these games are fairly different so you will have different games depending on your mood, time to play etc. Also you get 6 games this way but only take up 5 spots

    #14 4 years ago

    Batman Forever - $3,500
Star Trek Next Generation - $4,500
    Transformers LE - $4,500
    Star Trek LE - $6,000
    Tron - $5,500
    AC/DC Premium - $6,000

    Total - $30,000

    #15 4 years ago

    Hobbit
    Batman Dark Knight
    Corvette
    LOTR

Would spend remaining on a gambling themed game and a sports themed game

    ^^^My Grail List

Already have X-Men LE Wolverine, Indy 500, Maverick, and 78 Word Cup

Gives me both Tolkien themes, one of each major comic (DC and Marvel), two auto themed pins, two sports themes, and two gambling theme.

Would mod them all to the max and my collection would be done.... For now

    #16 4 years ago

    TZ
    Funhouse
    ST pro
    AFM
TSPP... or maybe STTNG, Whirlwind, or Whitewater

I would never leave home if I had all those.

    #18 4 years ago

    WOZ
    Tron
    IM
    LOTR
    Getaway
JJP#3 (which probably just put me over budget... Hi Pat!)

    #19 4 years ago

    Paragon ($1200)
    LOTR ($4500ish) or Spider-Man ($5000ish)
    TOTAN ($6500)
    Mars Trek ($1200 at most)

A variety of pinball experiences from four different decades and well under budget. Use the rest on Color DMDs, LED's and mods

    #20 4 years ago

    TFLE at $4.5k
    XM Pro at $4k
    TSPP at $4k

Interesting thread. I went a little crazy last year buying pins.
Prior to last year I never spent more than 1300 on a pin.

    #22 4 years ago

I'm seeing a couple TF LE which seems to be in the nice spot of soft price for a LE as well as being maybe a sleeper / well liked. I'm sorry I dididn't jump on a local one that was sold under market price a few months back. I'm blaming that one on my wife who doesn't see the need for another pin even if it's a steal.

Going to try and cool off a little this year. LOL

Nice, I went a little crazy these past 3 years when I bought 6 while selling just 4.

LOTR, FT, MET, AC/DC, WPT, The Hobbit (I hope is great). (I guess I like my line-up at home! lol)

    Blame the messenger!

My turn - trying to follow the recommendations but unsure about US prices. Here is what I would do with 29000 euros / 6 pins - including sales tax.

    - ACDC Premium (6000) HUO
    - Centaur - collector quality (3000)
    - Fireball - collector quality (1500)
    - WOZ (no need for a LE) (7500)
    - America's most Haunted (6000) NIB
    - LOTR (5000)

Perhaps not impossible on this side of the ocean?
But as I was listing Centaur at 3000 (which is overpaying it a lot here: must really be a nice one) I should do the same with Fireball.

    #32 4 years ago

Stern Post 1999 - Tron pro with great mods 6,000
Widebody - DMoS 3,500? (not sure on how much it costs to convert)
Prior to 1999 - Spectrum CQ 3,500? (again, have never seen one for sale, no idea of the price)

TBL - 9,000 (assuming it gets made)
WH20 - 5,000 (not sure what nice ones go for)
Embryon - 3,000 (the nicest one you have ever seen haha)

Not sure about the Euro, but collector quality Fireball= $3k+ over here. Lots of beaters out there.

Never saw a CQ Spectrum for sale, but normal ones (which are generally in decent shape... no one was abusing them!) can be found here for 600-800 euros.

    #35 4 years ago

    If 6:

    TZ
    TSPP
    LOTR
    Funhouse
    Totan (edit: NIB AMH)
    TWD NIB Pro

If 4 (all I have room for IRL)

    Funhouse (CQ)
    TSPP huo
    MM
    TZ (CQ)

I just picked mine up a week ago and am having a total blast! Of course, it doesn't hurt that I am a huge fan of the theme (I used to collect G1 Transformers as a kid). Love how much G1 stuff actually snuck into the game...

When looking, I was considering between a Pro or an LE. Wound up getting my Combo for about $800 or so more than I could find a Pro for. Given that the LE has....

    Powder Coated Armor ($300~400)
    Shaker Motor ($175)
    LEDs throughout (~$100)

...in addition to the better-looking laser-cut Autobots RH ramp and mini-playfield, it was really a no-brainer to go LE.

All of this for under $5K. Transformers really is the king of "bang-for-the-buck" in the LE world.

There are NO 4 wooden boxes with flashing lights and a ball bearing inside worth $30k to me.
But I would trade my $8k cat for a MM.
