If you could only own one pinball machine for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I would think it needs to be fast and brutal but significantly deep so lots of challenge to sustain interest for a long time.
So maybe Stern Star Trek, AC/DC, or Metallica.
Uhmm....ya, lets just go ahead and click over to a different channel with same topic...
Never knew I wasn't supposed to publicly mention a drain until today....so I won't mention it.

Did they stop making them? Was the supply wiped out? Did I miss the note that I had to sell all my games? I can own as many as I can fit in my house, so no, I don’t need to have one game the rest of my life. After a couple of months I’d hate that game, no matter what game it was. Variety is the spice of life... and Pinball.

Haven't you heard?
There is a pinball virus that corrodes circuit boards and wipes out any chance of getting long overdue code updates.

Mine's still Funhouse.
Funhouse for me too.

They have to get slapped around a bit, it's part of the initiation.
Quoted from tamoore:TSPP is a good single pin choice too. So much to do, lots of shot variety....
It's my pleasure time favorite. Everyshot is fun and has a lot to do.
Definitely TX-Sector! Love at first sight/listen (gameplay takes some getting used to though). Medieval Madness is a close second, but it got edged out due to the fact that it's way too popular (#1 rated table on Pinside). I don't like to follow the herd.
I don't think a single pin can hold someone's attention indefinitely. If you're going to have only one, I suggest being ready to swap it out on a regular basis so you always have something that holds your interest.

The OP stated "If you could only own one...."
Everyone knows just having one pin would get stale quick and you would need to rotate to keep your interest. Now picture you are on a deserted island and you can only own one machine-what machine would it be?
Super long answer but This is very appropriate thread for me because I'm in a similar situation being in NYC and having no basement or dedicated game room. Having one pin in the corner of my living room looks kind of nice. I Could actually squeeze a second pin in but I'd have to Take all my stereo system/home theater gear off the rack and come up with another method to house them, and quite frankly having two pins in my living room I think diminishes the coolness of having something so exotic and fun in a living space.
So for me I feel one pin is best. I really thought that DI would fit the bill because it seemed like it would have a lot of variety but i wanted to wait and see what JJP4 looked like before pulling the trigger. I'm super glad i waited because pirates looks fantastic, and has so many options.
I did pick up a nice TAF as a first pin to hold me over since I knew it could be a while until jjp4 is available. Now of course I'm going to be sad to sell the TAF. Not sure why I ordered pinstadium lights to put in it just for the 6 months or so I own it.
Love my Metle and acdc luci but its TwdLE that gets my vote
Gameplay code cabinet art ... everything is Perfect !

And it wouldn't be the Wilson.
