If you could only have 1 EM what would it be?

#2 8 years ago

Jacks Open

#3 8 years ago

Surfer/Surf Champ

Edit: Mermaid...then I'd sell THAT and get a Surf Champ

#4 8 years ago

This has been done a few times...but what the heck.

Surf Champ

#5 8 years ago

Only one? Say it aint so!

#6 8 years ago

Abra Ca Dabra

Resetting Drop Targets, Roll Overs, 2 Nastily placed Pop Bumpers, and 1 tricky center shot.

#7 8 years ago

I guess if it's got to be only one I've got to dance with the one that brung me.

Big Daddy FTW!

Metal rail game; would have to say "Pleasure Isle".

#10 8 years ago

just thankful I don't have to.......

Gold Strike > El Dorado

Surf Champ

I figured it had but I did a quick search and didn't see anything. I just want to know what to keep an eye out for since I've got the bug to get an EM! I appreciate all opinions!

Strange World no doubt

#14 8 years ago

I'd have to go with Fireball, mainly because i don't know anything about EM pins. Fireball is badass, though.

Grand Prix

While I'm not really into EM games, I do find Hurdy Gurdy to be appealing with that little monkey hitting the bell. I remember playing it long ago

#20 8 years ago

I did, it was Bally Strikes and Spares... Probably not the greatest, but I liked the artwork and the price was right.

#21 8 years ago

Out of my own collection, it'd probably be Domino

Otherwise maybe Jacks Open or High Hand.

#22 8 years ago

Since it was not stated em pinball, I would choose a big ball bowler, at least 17' in length

#23 8 years ago

I'd probably swap my Surf Champ and Atlantis for a Strange World... maybe.

Fireball.

surfer/surf champ.

Royal Flush

Another vote for Fireball.
Could be the same answer to the question "If you could only have 1 pin".
And God knows I love recent Sterns.
But Fireball, together with some early SS games, has a magic I haven't found in more recent pins.

From a purely nostalgic point of view it would be Wizard, it was my go-to pin as a kid and I still get a charge when the special is lit. From a player perspective I would go with Aztec, I play it as much as my AC/DC.

#32 8 years ago

if you count 'working' as a criteria .. i DO only have one EM.. card whiz

#33 8 years ago

Fast Draw but Surf Champ is a very close second.

#34 8 years ago

Gottlieb Chirpin Crickets.

#35 8 years ago

Evel Knievel

I do only have 1 EM and it's Fireball

Would love to hear what your '1 EM' would be Dave!

Tough choice for me between Abra Ca Dabra, Centigrade 37 & Atlantis... I guess I'd say Centigrade 37.

#38 8 years ago

1a. Atlantis
1b. Abra Ca Dabra
1c. Jacks Open

It's that close.

#39 8 years ago

Tough choice. Has to be a game with a good ruleset and very hard to beat, with multiple replays/jackpots.

1. Mystic Marvel 1954 - 6 replay ( Double feature )
2. Sweet Add A Line 1955 - 26 replay jackpot.

After 12 years and 40 plus games I'm down to 2. I think Teacher's Pet would be it but there are a few I'd like to try before making that final decision.

#42 8 years ago

Lucky Hand / Jacks Open

#43 8 years ago

Which one? I have the woodrail, and although it's not a bad game, it would be far from my first choice.

#44 8 years ago

Looks to be the '76 Gtb from his collection. Never played that one.

#45 8 years ago

I spent 15 years looking for the right, pristine, low play example. I then spent 2 years checking in with the seller to see if he would sell his. The game is a 1972 Bally Fireball with 57,692 plays as of today and it is NEVER going anywhere. I cringe taking it to Texas Pinball Festival this year but this game needs to be shared and seen at least once.

#46 8 years ago

I have my one semi EM. SS sounds. It's a brutal and a really fast moving game too. I can't see any other EM coming close to how fun interflip Dragon is. 1-2 min games average on 3 ball. I rolled it over once in the year I have owned it. Maybe a 7-8 min game.

Mine has 7786 plays.

BAO!
