Haunted House should be mentioned more. Of course JD too, since I own both these games. I'd also love to have Embryon. If money is no object, certainly a TZ, IJ or STTNG would be great. Really that B/W Superpin lineup is pretty much in a class of its own, there is no run of games that has ever equaled what was done there.

TZ and RS are both awesome widebodies in my book. I like ST:TNG a lot too though, for some reason IJ never really appealed to me.

It was interesting to see the chronological list. 18 years since the last widebody was released -- you guys think Stern or JJP or any of the niche developers will ever venture into the territory of a widebody release again?

my first widebody Williams Contact lovin it

5 Indiana Jones (would be higher if not for Short-run's voice callouts)

    Who the hell is Short-run?

    #57 6 years ago

    IJ and TZ

    #58 6 years ago

If I could only pick two, I'd go with an Embryon and a Split Second........with a Paragon on deck .

Think he meant Short Round, the young Asian boy.

Were you joking? You know WoZ is widebody, right?

    #62 6 years ago

Actually, I didn't! I've seen one in person and played it, but didn't remember or take note that it was a wide body. It was very briefly at one of the arcade auctions and those are usually pretty mentally and physically exhaustive days. Also, since I'm not planning on buying one I haven't kept up 100% with all the hype -- pretty cool that it'll be first one in all that time!

    TZ and Haunted House

Seriously? LOL! There are like two or three lines total and you don't hear them that often. It's Short Round by the way. "You cheat Dr. Jones" is one of the greatest pinball quotes of all time! If I had to pick one of the IJ quotes to hate it would be "I hate the water...and I hate YOU!", not any of Short Round's quotes.

My top 3 widebodies are TZ, STTNG, and either RS or GNR.

    No one said Pink Panther?

    Quoted from o-din:

So the other day I had a chance to pick up a nice STTNG, which I played the hell out of back in the day, and wanted for my collection. But then I decided that I already had two widepins that were great and I really didn't feel like moving it, so I decided that GNR and JD were enough, and I am totally satisfied that I made the right decision. So, I'd like to know which two my fellow pinsiders would choose, given a choice.

As long as you didn't have a shot at that $1500 STTNG on CL!

Lots of good ones...can't pick just two, so I'll say GNR, Jolly Park, and Verne's World. (Oh, and WOZ better be worth the wait as well!)

    Roadshow
    Royal rumble

OMG... you saw a Verne's world ? Congrats! How many have actually been produced ?

    #76 6 years ago

Roadshow, STTNG, DM and JD for me.

    #77 6 years ago

Indy, Twilight Zone, Laserball, and Embryon.

    #78 6 years ago

Black Hole and Flight 2000 for 80s. Indiana Jones and Twilight Zone for the 90s.

So I'm sitting here at work reading the progress on this thread, and a guy comes in and we start talking pinball. He says he has one machine and he might be selling it. I ask him which machine, and he says Embryon. So I show him my computer screen, and say "this one?" Coincidence, maybe. Interested, definitely.

Yes, I own one. There are currently 7 known to exist, and it's thought that there were around 70 made. Sadly, many now live in landfills in Spain.
