Quoted from Rocky-Apollo:

for me the ideal is 2 Bally / Williams, 2 Stern

Great post - I enjoyed reading your reasoning. I think you highlighted why I haven't been able to come to an answer for myself - namely the B/W to Stern split.

I don't think my ideal mix would be 2 Bally/Williams and 2 Stern; I think I would probably prefer a 3 ratio. But picking just one Stern is nearly impossible -- LOTR is awesome, but completely different than Tron or Star Trek.. But on the other hand, it would be hard to pick 2 and settle on only 2 B/W titles...

I need more time to think -- or a higher limit!

Why ask this question on a site where most people already own more pins than four pins?

Are you expecting people to name their four favorites of the games they own, or do you think there are a lot of people who would rather have some pins other than the ones they own now?

The thirteen pins in my game room are my 13 favorites. (While I view MM as the best pin I don't own, W?D was a must-have to me and MM wasn't.) If limited to only 4 I would keep BBB + MB + SS + AFM.

Having not had enough games on AMH or The Big Lebowski I would have to say

TOM
ACDC LE
4MBC
Virtual Pinball Cabinet

Since the Virtual gives you so many in one And no that is not cheating.

Also wish I could play a Nags, to see if that would beat 4MBC for the EM spot on the list.

I don't own 4 pins. I used to have 5. But now I'm at 2. The next pin I'm looking to add when I can afford it is LOTR which happens to be on my list of 4 of this poll thread - unless something new and really good sparks my interest and is 90% software finished when I'm ready to pull the trigger. (Steve Ritchie's next pin perhaps?)

EDIT: and I think that's the point - you can have only 4; not 2, not 10, not 13, just 4. Your ideal 4 pin lineup is ______,______,______,and _____.

Quoted from pinwiztom:

a 50s woodrail
a 60s EM
a early solid state era pin
and a DMD
now give me some time
to pick which ones.

I will make my choices to what games i already own,
so for woodrail choose: WMS Gusher
60s EM: WMS Teacher's Pet
Early S/S : Mata Hari
DMD : Scared Stiff

Well really, AFM or MB it is a toss-up between those two...

Easy for me. I only have room for four so I have selected my collection over time: STTNG, LOTR, TZ and Williams IJ

TSPP - deep rules, funny humor, unique modes and well integrated theme
BSD - tough but rewarding to rock a high score
MM - great toys, medieval theme and everybody enjoys playing it
Big Lebowski - my favorite movie, killer music, the Dude and interesting rules (hopefully)

- Fireball
- ACDC Premium (or BIBLE...)
- Wrath of Olympus (keep the faith!)
- P3 or Heighway platform (undecided for now, but a platform with swappable PF would allow me to break the 4-pin limit without cheating)

And I would add to the list:
- Pinball Circus, arguing that because of its unusual cabinet size it's not really counted as a regular pin, right?
- A pin-cocktail table, although the only I played was not so great.
- Nemo... it's a prototype I'll get, so it does not count, right?
- Still looking for a way to cheat and add TZ. I need a Bally Williams and this one is a keeper. Had one in my home for several months (as a temporary exchange) and it grew on me.
