    LE's to $6195...

    Red and Violet to $6995.....

    #2 12 years ago

Where did you see $6195? It appears they need to move some serious units because even on ebay they are at $6400.

No chit that is crazy hi for a Standard LE. Shop around as J says.

There is a big difference between advertised pricing and straight to the no B.S. call or email directly pricing to your distributor. All retailers are "required" to advertise a MSRP. Any less and they can loss their distributorship. You need to call or email directly.

I've been a Pinball Sales Jack customer for years, since his leaving the Stern scene I'm with Trent and he's very, very fair.

These 4 come to mind as having the BEST competitive pricing. (In no particular order).
    Trent Augenstine Tilt Amusements
Mike Pupo Flipper Fidelity (Bay Dist)
    Great American Pinball
    Troy North Top Score Gamerooms

    #8 12 years ago

Sounds pretty easy, make the call,do business behind closed doors,When it's thousands of dollars, nobody needs to know what deal you worked out amongst yourselves.

Mike at Automated would have to be included on that list (IMHO).

Supply and demand and timing obviously matter....and you won't get the Transformers LE for less than $5700 from any distributor and then you have shipping...

    #14 12 years ago

And I'd rather pay a little more for the game after it comes out and after I play it versus pre-ordering to save a few hundred bucks....maybe.....but it's just because I like to get more educated before I purchase

    #15 12 years ago

So, let's hear some of these great deals you folks have actually gotten!? (wanting to know how much I've been apparently gouged!).

    #17 12 years ago

Please enlighten us with some prices. I'd genuinely like to know what kind of differences are out there, and who's got the best deals. Because so far the best I've seen are usually at Automated.

    #18 12 years ago

Those are published prices. Give some places a call and they may work with you a bit.
I bought my SM NIB from www.pinballfun.com for $4900 last year when everyone else (if they had one, most didn't) was selling for $5500+. Small outfit but a certified Stern dealer. The reason I found him was shipping is outrageous to Alaska. So I was searching for places on the west coast to reduce that cost. Got lucky as I was willing to pay the higher amount.

    #19 12 years ago

Ok, thanks SC. But was that the advertised price on their site? Or did you call them and have to kind of haggle with them?

    #20 12 years ago

That's a great find Seal.....and great timing, there was still enough supply left at the end of the inventory run, I'd pay $5500 for a NIB SM right now....

Other guys are saving a few hundred bucks here or there, not thousands.......like I said, if anybody can find a Transformers LE for less than $5700 right now, let's see it, in May or early summer I think they will be cheaper as they push through inventory when AC/DC, WOZ and then XMEN are coming out.............so timing means a lot....

I got my LOTR LE from Automated for $5395, free shipping, last May....try and find one for that price now, with shaker...

2012 is going to be a big year for pinball and also a big year for supply of new machines....pro, LE, designer, etc....there will be deals to be had, too many machines chasing too few dollars in my opinion........

Don't forget also, as soon as WOZ hits and is successful, people will be allocating to pin #2 from JJP immediately....too much inventory equals lower prices...

Mike automated....lol Those that have been in this hobby long enough know MIKE IS A CROOK> Was indicted by the FBI for the GLOBAL VR SCANDAL. YOu want to deal with Global vr fraud mike go right ahead lol.

A Lot of you guys are new to the hobby it seems. Most of the distro guys can drop ship right from stern. Most i have ever paid on shipping is 150. Lots of guys stock machines to but all will drop ship if your closer. Nobody is going to post prices why becasue the distros can get in trouble for undr cuttign each each other. They get it for a flat rate they decide the markup based on GREEEEEEEEEEEEEED and what they can sell them for. The list Crazy J put up is a good place to start. Call dont email dont txt but call.

"David Russell Foley of Los Gatos and Michael Daddona were named in a 35-count indictment unsealed this week. The indictment, handed up July 1 by a grand jury in San Jose, includes charges of conspiracy, trafficking in counterfeit goods, theft of trade secrets, mail and wire fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering and bank fraud."

Don't remember if the price was posted or I had to ask. I know I called to see if they had one in stock and I didn't haggle. He will do a layaway plan for up to 6 months.

is that automated services out of Connecticut??

    #26 12 years ago

Yes they are the crooks look up his name and business. Dig and read. Case is still open. Remember that if you need a warranty in 6 months a year he will prob be in a Federal Prison sucking down Margaritas and eating steak at The tax payers expense.

According to the San Francisco Chronicles, David Russell Foley of Los Gatos and Michael Daddona of Milford, CT were indicted under the charges of conspiracy, trafficking in counterfeit goods, theft of trade secrets, mail and wire fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering and bank fraud. This indictment was handed up July 1 by a grand jury in San Jose.
UltraCade Technologies produced game packs to be loaded onto arcade video-game machines. Foley sold this company based in San Jose, and its intellectual property to Global VR in June 2006.
According to the indictment, Foley kept making game packs at home using a burner stolen from UltraCade and “secretly manufactured and sold game packs with counterfeit markings belonging to Global VR for his own financial benefit,” after being fired from the company.
Foley sold the game packs and a burner to Automated services, an arcade-game company owned by Michael Daddona who sold the packs on eBay, as stated by authorities.

The only NIB Stern I bought was a FGY in late 2009 (November I think) for $3900 total..cash.

Of course prices have gone way up since then

My guess is they either dont know about his issue or just dont care. Either way what does that say about ball three companies. Hm... i have no issue dealing with a known con artist who has been linked also to mob ties in Ct.......
It also says stuff about people who are informed and continue to purchase from him.... It's like buying from a known scammer.

There is no oh he is innocent until proven guilty dude was caught red handed selling the shit and hiding the funds. If you read the open indictment its all there. It think its funny nobody here either knows or cares to talk about the big pink elephant in the room with Automated. But as soon as something goes fucked there will be why didnt we know posts all over.

This is just like in 95 When Bibliophile (Waseem Daker) on Neo-GEO.com was accused of murder and everyone thought it was a joke. 15 years later Dna evidence has him locked up on Trial for Murder. People bought from him all the time knowing he was a suspected murderer. People brought it to light and notta nothing... Ignorance is bliss i guess.

    #33 12 years ago

Yea...I am still kicking myself for not getting a Black Spiderman back then...it was about $4500 or so from Jack if I remember right. Sad part is I could have swung it at the time, but couldn't see spending that much on one game. Now I'll be lucky to find a Red one for that, plus don't have that kind of money to spend now!

    #34 12 years ago

I really dont understand how NIB pin prices have doubled in half a decade.

I can't find any evidence on the 'net about what you are ranting about.
We made an excellent deal with Mike on our Tron LE, lowest price we could find (right before they all sold out).
He sent us a new machine when we sent the old one back (it was dropped off a forklift in front of our very eyes).
Working with him was simple. Great NIB experience.

I don't see how, if he was convicted of 30'some felony counts, that we were talking to him 2 months ago finalizing our Tron deal.

Please quit dragging our distributor's name through the mud.

Foley allegedly stole approximately 1,500 USB flash memory drives from Ultracade prior to the company's sale to Global VR. Foley also allegedly charged the cost of 200 additional USB flash memory drives to Global VR.

It is alleged that Foley began his game pack manufacturing operation in June of 2006. Foley used his residence to manufacture the game packs onto the USB flash memory drives, using a computer loaded with proprietary software stolen from Ultracade just prior to Global VR's purchase of the company. Foley then allegedly sent the game packs to Michael Daddona who owns and operates Automated Services based in Milford, Connecticut.

Daddona allegedly paid Foley for the game packs, placed counterfeit Global VR markings on them, and advertised them on Ebay as authentic Global VR product. Daddona is alleged to have sold the counterfeit product at a lower price than actual Global VR product. Customers paid for the game packs by mailing checks to Daddona at his Milford, Connecticut operation, or wired the money to him via PayPal. Automated Services and Daddona then allegedly mailed the game packs to customers across the country via UPS.

Daddona allegedly paid Foley for the game packs with checks made out to Foley. According to the indictment, Foley instructed Daddona to pay for game packs by sending checks and wire transfers to Toaplan Ltd., which is an entity listed in the indictment as being "established and controlled by Foley".

Toaplan Company Ltd just also happens to be the name of a former Japanese video game developer that went bankrupt in 1994. Toaplan was famous for its line of side-scrolling shooter video games including Zero Wing, and other games such as Snow Bros.

David R. Foley and Michael Daddona are both charged with the following counts in the July 1st, 2009 indictment: Conspiracy to Commit Mail Fraud and Wire Fraud, Trafficking in Counterfeit Goods; Aiding and Abetting, Mail Fraud; Aiding and Abetting, Wire Fraud; Aiding and Abetting; Conspiracy to Commit Money Laundering; Aiding Abetting; Money Laundering;.

Assistant District Attorney Richard C. Cheng of the Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property (CHIP) unit based within the San Jose U.S. Attorney's Office is handling the current indictment against David Russell Foley and Michael Daddona.

So in short i bet he is flying straight right now he has the feds on his ass. My point was be aware of the type of person he really is. Sure he might have done you right....but will he always?

All i am doing is putting the info out there. Its not slander if its true. All this info is readily available on the Net.

    #47 12 years ago

I believe despite the indictment he wasn't arrested or considered a fugitive and I'd be surprised if this hasn't already resolved these "allegations".....if the indictment came down July of 2009, after 2 1/2 years, either the feds have no case to move forward or it's dead.....in the meantime, i'm sure it's no secret to Stern and JJP...

    #48 12 years ago

Case is still open. According to pacer he has another court date in may. I dont care i just wanted people to be informed. If you talk to the local CT guys there gonna have some interesting stuff to say that i wont say here. Average Federal court case is 3 years as well.

I cant speak enough for trent or mike though both ACES and the best to deal with.

    #49 12 years ago

thanks for the info, very interesting.

    Nobody ****s with the Jesus

    #50 12 years ago

It looks to me like this guy won't be shifting single pin customers, he made a seperate business of stolen goods, individual customers aren't really his concern, he's larger scale. I would be hesitant to buy a CC or BBB from him for higher ticket items.

I wouldn't juant around owing the guy money though, he sounds quite organized. As the jesus said.. I'd proceed with caution around the guy to avoid wearing some cement shoelaces. Shady as walking down Gratiot St at night in Detroit.
