Keith kept wearing jaws stuff, and then the code name for JP was Jaws.

I'll pour some gas on this for fun... I've talked about this property with Keith - he's a fan, as am I... but I wouldn't get your hopes up

And here's a bit of lighter fluid... a super rough old sketch I did when Ash vs Evil Dead came out (Army of Darkness of Evil Dead 2 would be my choice - but with the TV series I thought it would be a better aim to get buy-in)...

Why did I do a rough sketch over morning coffee? I was jokingly asked about properties that interested me by someone at Stern ... sooooo, I did a series of sketches for various properties. This was number one.

That said - I like challenges & niche cult material personally (and I think longevity comes from cult vs burn-out from mainstream licenses over time...) I think if you could distill the quirks of the material in visuals & story/rules it could have a very broad appeal ... and selfishly, if it did ever happen I'd want to be a part of it

That would make a great looking translight. If you decide to make some to sell I've got the perfect place to put it.

By some miracle if this ever happens, I’m in all the way.
One of my top dream themes, along with Goonies, Mad Max, Little Shop of Horrors, Big Trouble in Little China and Blade Runner.
Like you say though, too niche/cult, like Cabin in the woods, Tucker & Dale or Hobo with a shotgun. Would make great pins but it’ll never happen.
Big fan of your work by the way

    Top 3 wants...
    Evil dead any of em
    Mad max
Warriors...after completing a mode ball goes in subway car and gets dropped at next stop with the DJ announcing "warriors come out and play"

    #59 3 years ago

depends on how it plays. LOL, many of us bought a machine that has a cell phone theme. If it plays great, people will buy

I think more of a pure horror pin would be a welcome addition to the Stern lineup. I’d be in on a horror pin from Stern or another manufacturer.

Really a dream theme for me. I think ED and pinball are a match made in heaven. Wicked demons to defeat, the necronomicon (which needs to be done like the hobbit book) cute girls, a quirky hero and cutting humor. It really could be pinball nirvana. Yeti use your jedi influence to get keith on board. Sales may surprise stern. I think they have already done the physical R&D cuz if they rethemed Munsters (got that basement fruit cellar) for Evil Dead it would be Yuge! The show was actually even better than both films but I see no reason why all of them cant come together. Id like to see a Mini-Ash-Multiball!

Ash's call outs would make the game AMAZING. With the corny humor and horror, it is a great pin for sure.

Have not played video games in about 15 years but this looks fun. Stern could buy all of these 3D models or even just hire the game company to do their graphics. Thank you for shopping at S-Mart!

    #64 3 years ago

I'd get it if it was JJP doing the theme.

    #65 3 years ago

An Evil Dead theme would be the only blind pinball purchase I would ever commit to.

    Literally. No second thoughts.

Ash would fit perfectly between Judge Dredd and Dirty Harry, thematically.

Three dudes that shoot first, ask questions later.

    #66 3 years ago

I would find it hard not to buy this

    #67 3 years ago

What a great theme this would be. My guess is Spooky will be doing it though, which is great.

    #68 3 years ago

This game will likely be my tipping point for getting a PS5.

New movie in the franchise drops later this year.

    This needs to happen

Not sure if this was covered, but I'm pretty sure that Spooky wanted to do this theme and Bruce Campbell's involvement was surprisingly too pricey. I don't remember if I read that or heard it on a podcast, but I remember being surprised when hearing it...you wouldn't think Bruce Campbell would be price prohibitive. I think this would make a great theme and I'd be super interested. Didn't love the show as much as the movies, but I'll take whatever I can get that's based on Ash and that universe. Having both Keith and Yeti involved wouldn't suck

    #72 3 years ago

I didn't enjoy the show as much, but it was great to see Lee Majors again It gave me the same pleasure as seeing Bruce Campbell in Burn Notice a few years earlier.

I have a prop Book of the Dead (yes a Tom Sullivan one, with all the pages, naturally inked in blood). One of my pride and joys, which obviously I have to keep carefully locked up so it can't escape. So, yes, a grail theme for me.

    #73 3 years ago

I would probably consider getting one. But it would have to be everything I've always wanted in a pinball machine and then some.

If it was just a generic layout with an evil dead theme. With no super cool new toys or mechs, I'd be out.

    #75 3 years ago

    Hell yes!!!!
Heck I’d even take an Ash vs. Evil!!

    Give me some sugar baby!
