Quoted from KingNine:I respectfully disagree. I just saw them a year ago and definitely was not lip synced. They still draw crowds and there was young and old alike jamming to classic tunes.
I think all your arguments could have been used for AC/DC before it was made as well.
You are definetly wrong. On most "eliminator" and onwards songs - the ones with massive backing tracks of synths like Sharp Dressed Man and Pincushion - the lead vox have been lip synced for years. The beard makes it super easy lol.
And those arguments certainly could NOT have been made for ACDC, that's ridiculous and makes no sense. When the pinball machine was in development, ACDC was coming off a huge #1 multiplat album in Black Ice (it was the biggest selling rock release the year it came out), and a sold out tour of gigantic arenas and even football stadiums.
ZZ Top like I said hasn't tasted that kind of success since Dukakis was running for President.
ZZ Top is largely forgotten today by the masses as anything other than a pop culture footnote. Their albums don't sell at all, and they play casinos, theaters, and state fairs. You cannot compare ZZ Top's current popularity to ACDC's in any way shape or form.
If you need your ZZ top pin fix play HS2, BTTF, or Lethal Weapon 3. It's a terrible idea for a new pin release and it will never happen. There are dozens of rock acts that would make more sense.
