I installed a new CPR playfield in my high speed along with new plastics and other various parts. Just curious if this makes my game HUO again? I was thinking about routing it but don't want to spoil the designation if so.

To me, HUO means a game that was purchased factory NIB, was only the property of the original owner, and has only ever been played in that owner's personal residence(s.) If it ever left the original owner's personal residence du jour and was played in any public setting by people personally unknown to the original owner, it is no longer home use only to me.
Only if the playfield was delivered directly to your residence is it then deemed "HUO".
If you bought it at a show, it is "like new".
If you found it behind a dumpster, it is "lightly routed".
Quoted from Deez:Just curious if this makes my game HUO again?
Only if it is documented and notarized.

pics or it didn't happen...

No that's just a resto to players condition again
Who cares if any game is huo or not? Just judge the game based on its condition.
I would take a routed, well-maintained game any day over a huo machine that never had its glass off.
The playfield had never had a public ball played on it. Only home balls. So I don't get why it isn't home use only? That's the only place these parts were used at. I'm not getting it. Could there be like a home use only original parts? Huoop designation?

He playfield might be HUO but the machine isn't HUO. HUO should be a machine bought by someone and basically never used anywhere but in a home. Everyone keeps "pushing" what HUO is but bottom line HUO should have original purchase receipt - goodie bag - etc and have never been used outside of a home (to me even taking a machine to a show takes HUO away).
Quoted from Mitch:Are the boards huo, cab, mechanisms?
Yeah ever since the playfield was changes. They've only been used in the home.
What a retarded question. If you are the ONLY owner, yes. If it EVER belonged to anyone but you, no.

Seems like a lot care as I see that designation alot and value placed on it.

I've got the receipt for the playfoeld and plastics and one from Marco.

It's an after-market reproduction playfield--not original.
Would it be a nice restored game? Sure. But it's not an original HUO game.
How about games that have been restored with overlays or hardtops? Those would still be restored games, not HUO.
There are collectors that specifically go after nice original games, and there are collectors who go after nice restored games. It would be a little deceptive to call a restored game HUO when it's actually not part of the history of the game.
Would you call a reproduction playfield a NOS playfield? Even if you installed an original NOS playfield, it would still be a restored game.
He is clearly dragging you guys into this pointless debate. I really wish they would just straight up ban the term from here.
Quoted from dsuperbee:No, it is not. You replaced the playfield, that's it. The cab was still on route somewhere.
And even if you restored the cabinet, it's still a restoration.
What if you put a brand new game on route but never plug it in. It's been routed but still has zero plays. It's never been in a home. Would that be NOB routed machine???

What if you live at the location?

You still need one of these stamps or it's not happening.

So a NOB HUO routed game probably does make sense in this situation.
Quoted from Phat_Jay:If my wife gets a boob job is she HUO again?
No, upgraded from Pro model to LE model

There's a joke here about a serialized plaque but since you are talking about somebody's wife I decline the invitation to comment.

When you mention “HUO”’, what are you referring to? I have to ask these hypothetical questions...
Hospital use only?
Hotel use only?
Hostel use only?
Helicopter use only?
Holiday use only?
Looking for clarification so I can better assist you in your questions. Thank you for your time sir.

Or even

But what if I sent off the legs to get powder coated? Am I screwed?
