If Stern announced LOTR VE with SAM and upgraded sound, decals (etc.) for $5K my check would be in the mail.

Quoted from Astropin:Okay I'm really getting tired of this argument. LOTR is not a premium featured pin....it just isn't. Now maybe a VE edition would be.....after all, all you need to do is add some bling and give it the "premium" moniker and tack on $1500.
I owned LOTR for eight years. Great game. But besides more refined code it really doesn't have much on the likes of MET Pro or ST Pro (I own an ST now and my buddies have MET). What.....more wire? A shaky tower?
true
Quoted from YKpinballer:There are a lot of reponses that say it won't/can't happen. The question posed is "if it did, what would you do?" It sounds like a lot of the negative responses are because people think it's impossible. Or you don't care, but you had to jump into this thread just to tell everybody how much you don't care. Kind of just hoping people would stay on topic and address the question.
people said the same thing about Iron Man, it's most likely people who own the game, there are a lot of said people on here. More than Iron Man. I believe it's a no brainer.
If I was Stern and I wanted to sell as many games as possible at as much profit. I'd take my already developed hits such as PotC, SM, LOTR and remake them. Especially games such as these where used examples are in the $4400- $5500 range. Makes no sense to re-run a game like RBION or some other game with little demand.
Willy Sutton was a famous bank robber, they asked him why he robbed banks? He said "Because that's where the money is."
LOTR, is one of the true games which can sell a good number and I believe it will be remade.
Quoted from Rarehero:Maybe 100-200 people would put their money where their mouth is, and that's being generous. Stern won't put it back in production with those numbers.
Quoted from wolfy:Rarehero hit the nail on the head in his last post.
Rarehero is wrong, 120 people on this thread said they'd buy one. I have bought 4 NIB from Stern games in the past 30 months. I'd buy one, so quite obviously the market is not saturated.
If they made the VE for like $5000 there would be more sold than IMVE.
