How would one identify a Williams System 11 CPU board? Is the a number on the board itself or do you go by the roms installed on it? What if the game roms were not there?

how many components are stuffed into the board. Early boards have more sound stuff.

Early ones used LED digit later just LEDs

B and C have four extra pins at U25 ram. The C version will have almost no sound stuff on the board, but the B will have more.

I think the B board with all the parts stuffed is the most compatible version.
