I just purchased my first Pin - Hobbit Smaug Gold Edition. I lifted the playfield for the first time and found a loose spring underneath. I did check with a friend and we could not find any obvious missing springs. This spring does not have connection loops on both sides. Any ideas? Picture attached next to a ruler... Thanks in advance for any help.

Looks like one from one of the beast trap doors.

Looks like a pop bumper spring, but sounds like pinballreno knows the specifics

It also looks a lot like a spring from a Happ illuminated push button.

Closing the loop on this. It was from the beast trap door. I also found the retaining clip. Thanks pinballinreno !
