That's what I originally thought too, but the plastic is different. The plastic on Golden cue has holes cut out for the ramps.
The shape of the plastic seems to match Sharkey's Shootout, but the color and graphic aren't correct.

It sounds like someone had a clear plastic dome prototype, but I haven't seen mention of a gold version so far.
