Picked this up yesterday for next to nothing. My original plan was to convert it to some sort of multi game and trade it towards a pin. Possibly do a 19 in 1, since they're a lot less common than the 60 in 1 and do a defender theme with the artwork. Any other suggestions? Jrok? Keep it/sell it? I'm not opposed to owning another arcade game.

Quoted from Brian541:

I got an old keno machine almost the same as yours,I think the way the cabinet/shelf sits keeping it a horizontal monitor mount makes more sense.A 19 to 22 inch lcd should squeeze in,Haven't measured yet though.I was thinking the 19 in 1 for mine.Smaller profile closer to a cabaret cab should be good for anyone tight on space!

I'm going to add a marquee, which will cut downon the real estate for a monitor. I was thinking 15 or 17 will work nicely. I'm going to gut it, so the current monitor layout isn't an issue.

There's nothing wrong with 60 in 1's imo. I have one in my basement and it's what got me into the hobby. It's got its issues, but for the casual enthusiast, it's great. Same with the 19 in 1, which i also have.

Guess this is a build thread now.

Had a few minutes to tear into it. Added the lower portion of the marquee box using the monitor shelf. I mocked up the original monitor bezel to get an idea of how I'm laying this out and think it looks pretty decent as pictured. I think the stainless control panel will come out and get replaced with a matching woodgrain front panel and proper CP.

So I think I've made up my mind with this thing. I'm going with a JROK board and a Mad Planets theme for the cab.

Had some time to revisit this project. Cut the cabinet down to be more inline with cabaret dimensions. For the hell of it, i covered the edges with painters tape to see what it would look like with blue t molding. I kinda dig it.

Messed around today trying to figure out a plan for the artwork. I ended up just resizing the original full size cabinet art and printed out on paper to see what it looked like. Next step is to order from szabos and get the t molding on.

Finished this project up a while ago. While it looked great in it's woodgrain glory, I decided I wanted it to look more original and painted it up in the proper red, blue and black. Think I'll add a coin for while I'm at it.
