Just picked an ICB with what seems to be a common issue. Haven't been able to find the solution anywhere though. The upkicker that kicks the ball back into play isn't powerful to get the ball all the way back up. The coil is original to the game. Anyone have a fix? Thanks!

Update seems there was a service bulletin for this exact problem. Going to try the fix listed, will report back if it worked. Service bulletin attached for any future folks looking in the future.

Anybody know who does ICB board repair? Mine is having switch matrix issues. Hole 2 registering as a miss and the coin switches suddenly stopped working. Would love to get it up and working. Thanks!

Adding the capacitor from the service bulletin on mine fixed this problem for me AS LONG as I have it plugged straight into an outlet and not a power strip. No clue why but that’s what I figured out worked.

    Quoted from thepinballworks:

    Hello all,
I am down to my last part of trouble shooting on the old ICB playfield.
The one and only coil in it had been worked on many times. At first, the plunger was not reaching the ball, I fixed that, so now that it reaches it, it doesn't have enough strength to push it up. So I then got a new coil to try, and it hits it but not hard enough to send it where it need to go. I have the 24-volts right off the power supply.
So what am I missing? It is an N26-1200 coil and that is what the manual says it needs. Is there a stronger coil I can use?

For closure I wanted to follow up on this issue. Turned out the issue was being caused by a stuck switch on hole 9!

Thinking about this game. Any owners want to chime in with honest answer? Is this game worth purchasing? I feel like it would get old quick and the novelty wouldn't last longer than a month. What's everyone's thoughts? Replayability?

I route one and personally would not want one in my home. Takes up a decent amount of room and once you master it, it kind of gets old.

    Quoted from insertcoin:

I picked up a Taito ICB recently and noticed the bar doesn't go high enough to drop the ball in hole #10. It is literally 1/2" too low. I see the switches need to be adjusted/bent "just enough" to allow the bar to move a little higher but the switches obviously aren't easily accessible. It seems like bending them where they need to be is somewhat of a hit-or-miss process and breaking the switch would appear very easy to do. Does anyone know how to PROPERLY bend them, without breaking them? Thanks!

I use a standard switch adjustment tool. Same one I use on my pinball machine switches. Close the switch with one finger and adjust with the tool.

Anyone have the dimensions of the coin box? I have the model with two coin doors one with mechs above and one where the coins fall into below.
